Good quality, great value, runs small/short (3XL)
This is an incomplete review, as I did not get a chance to ride with the jacket as it needed to be returned. I'm 5'10", 290lbs, and typically comfortably where a 2XL-3XL size tee shirt. The 3XL jacket was very snug across the stomach, and fairly short. Amazon makes returns a piece of cake, so I've got a 4XL coming, and hope to have more complete review of that in the coming weeks. Lesson being - if you're in doubt on size, go big. * * * Update * * * I reordered the jacket in a 4XL size. This was the size I needed, it fits well, and is sufficiently long enough for my long back. The jacket is quite warm, I was comfortable at 55* with no fairing at 70mph, and by the time it was 70* degrees out I was thinking about pulling the inner liner out. I was able to manage temps by opening the vents to get some airflow. That's perfect to me - it will be warm enough when it's cool, and not overbearing when it's hot (with the liner out). The quality seems incredible for the price point, making this jacket an excellent value. I'm sure there are nicer jackets out there, but at 3-5x the cost. The collar closes up nicely, as do the sleeves and waist. I could go for bigger pockets for the size of the huge modern cellphones, but overall no real complaints. For something I full expect to be "in the dirt" with at times, this is exactly what I was looking for.

Great jacket, great value!!
I wear a XXL and ordered a XXXL(one size up) to be safe. It fits perfect and seems very well made. It also came with the back, shoulder and elbow armor as described. Should work great riding single track in the woods this winter. Great value, love the jacket!!

Good Jacket Despite a Few Items..
I'll start by saying I live in Southern Idaho. During most of the winter, snow covers the roads. However, there's pockets that create dry, normal road conditions and I get a chance to ride my bike during the winter months. Average temperatures for my area throughout winter are anywhere from 20F to 40F. -Warmth Given that I wear a few layers underneath this jacket to compensate for heat loss, this jacket does an excellent job at keeping me warm from the cold winter wind. I can ride in below freezing temps and be just fine for a decent amount of time. The thermal lining helps immensely, but a few other layers are needed to keep yourself warm. The jacket blocks out cold wind and moisture, so it makes this jacket very preferable to wear during a cold ride. Combined with the right gear, it'll feel like you're riding during the nice sunny months of not freezing your-ass-off season. -Protection The armor (Haven't used it....yet) is reassuring to have; the location of armor will protect you in the event of a crash. Even though this jacket has a back protector as well, I still ride with a separate back armor pack. Nonetheless, I trust the padding and it feels solid and true. -Features Here's where I have a few issues. The zippers are probably the worst functioning zipper I have ever used on anything. It doesn't want to zip together. You've got to line it up just right and then convince it to zip or unzip. I'm not at the worst yet, though. The waist connection zipper (to connect pants) is an absolute nightmare. I purchased these pants https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07LGXGNZT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and because they are produced by the same manufacturer, I assume they would go together. I cannot get the waist zipper to combine with the zipper on those pants, so I can't fasten my jacket to my pants which creates a nice refreshing updraft of well below freezing air. I'm not a huge fan of that. -Overall Summary Though this certainly isn't a perfect jacket, it is undeniably a great buy for the price. It offers protection from crashes and cold weather. There's a few flaws with it that are annoying, but to me, the pros outweigh the cons. It's a good jacket that will keep you warm during the winter while protecting you.

Nice kit for little money.
I gave it 5 stars because I paid $44 for it. The zipper that is used to connect to a pair of pants is kinda glitchy, but it works, and I have a pair of HWK pants so don't know what's going on there. With the liner in, it is nice and warm. Along with the HWK riding pants, I also have a HWK Adventure Touring jacket. This MC kit is incredibly well made and for the price, it's an amazing deal. I've been riding for decades, and have textile and leather kit from decades past and the HWK line seems to compare favorably with the First Gear, Joe Rocket, etc. stuff that I have in the bins. I will hopefully never have to utilize it's protective features, but as with all textile kit, if it holds together once, that's all you need.

Great jacket, low price not withstanding!
I've used the jacket for about 6 months, 4000 miles of riding. It seems to be very well made with good quality materials and zippers. Pockets are handy and zippered. I've ridden in some drizzle and it did well. It came with a light quilted liner which I haven't used yet. It is armored on the elbows and back in addition to the tough outer fabric and has some air vents. I bought one for my wife as well. I weigh 240 lb and bought the XL size which fits well over my shirt, vest and shoulder holstered sidearm. It is suitably warm and comfortable in 50 degree weather or higher. It is an excellent value for the money. I am going to purchase a 2XL so I can add another layer for colder weather.

Riding gear that's a great bang for the buck
This jacket really exceeded my expectation for the low price. It looks great, fits well, and is comfortable. I haven't ridden in the rain yet to test for waterproofing, but I've also ridden enough in the rain to know that no jacket is waterproof for long when it rains hard. I haven't ridden in really hot weather with it yet either so I can't speak to how well it ventilates and helps keep you cool. I have ridden on some pretty chilly days though and this jacket keeps me much warmer than I expected it to with the liner in place. The sizing is about right. I'm 6'1" and about 215 pounds so I bought the 2XL, which fits perfectly. I can wear a sweatshirt underneath comfortably. I also bought a pair of HWK pants to go with the jacket and they zip together in the back, which is a nice feature. Speaking of zippers, the zippers on these are really the only glaring weak point. They are quite small, which is not the norm for riding gear, and operating them with gloves on is a real challenge. I could almost knock a star off for the zippers, but I won't, because considering the low cost of this jacket it is still a great buy. This isn't top quality riding gear, but it is functional, and I've paid a lot more for the same or lower quality gear in the past.

Great light weight jacket (with removable liner)
Good ventilation on them hot days. Nicely placed. Definitely light weight. Haven’t tried the waterproof aspect yet ( and I hope not to). Overall quality is great. I didn’t realize and it’s probably my fault for not reading into it but it does come with a liner which is great so on the cooler days, it’ll keep you comfy. The only downside about this jacket and this is my opinion but I wish the Inside pocket was a little larger but that has no bearing on this nice jacket. Perfect as it is. Price was great. Will do a follow up in 6 or 7 months when I put it to more use.
