Install Bay IBNF10 Noise Filter10 AMP Each

Was getting a lot of humming and static on my boat stereo system. Put this on and for the summer months stereo was crystal clear! could not hear the whine of the alternator. No humming and static, great value for the money and did the job as advertised.

I had just installed a new radio in my 1995 Mercedes s500 Coupe. I noticed that once i started the car up i was getting an alternator whine. I first checked and cleaned my ground connections to the battery but found that did not fix my whine problem. I knew what i needed, a ground loop isolator. I searched Amazon and found this one. I ordered it and received it and 2 days. I wired it up and started the car. WTH?!!??! the whine was still there. I figured you get what you pay for. So i just gave up and said to hell with it. As i was pondering what to do next, i thought to myself "i wired the isolator in line with the accessory 12v line. Lets try wiring it to the battery (yellow) line of the radio." To my delight the whine was gone. This is a great product but i think people should know that this product should be wired to the battery or memory side of the radio not the accessory or ignition side of the radio.

I have a CB radio installation at home with an antenna ran down to my basement, and a little 9 amp hour 12v SLA battery to power the radio. I have a basic trickle charger to keep this battery charged, but when the charger is on it adds 2 S units of static on my receive meter of the radio. Unplug the charger and the static cuts almost in half. I had really hoped this product could eliminate the interference coming from the trickle charger, but after putting it inline with the radio power wires it made no difference.I have a car installation for CB radio I will be doing next and I have had issues with alternator and heater fan whine on CB radio in that car with temp installations, so I will try this product when I do that install and report back if it helps in any way, but for cutting down interference from a battery charger so far this product is a bust for me.Update: This product did nothing for my alternator and heater fan whine in my car either. So it appears that for the purposes of CB radio this product is a total bust and a do-not-buy. Pretty disappointed.

Did not work in my situation. I have static comeing from door speakers and tweeters. Not a ground loop, at least not from the engine. Not a whine, just a low volume annoying static. This did not work for me. Appears to be a good product for other applications like engine noise.

I had this filter installed in about 15 minutes. Works very well on the engine noise.

Disclaimer: I do NOT have a high end stereo in this car. I was getting squeal that went up and down in frequency with the RPM. I run a cheap 12-volt Chinese amp in the glove compartment with input from either a thumb drive full of MP3s or an 8-track player. It sounds as good as it's going to sound through the cheap speakers. The squeal was making it terrible, especially through the 8-track. This completely eliminated it. Will take something away from a fine setup? You'll have to figure that out! For me it worked out perfectly.

I've been fighting a lingering noise issue from the Bluetooth adapter I have in my 2008 Prius. I've tried in line audio filters, ferrite cores, shielded cables, different Bluetooth adapters, and nothing took care of the whine from the alternator and all the electronics on the 12v system. So as a last resort went and picked this up to wire in to the 12v socket. Sweet auditory bliss, the whine is gone. Only at very high volume when there is a pause in music can I very faintly still pick up a faint popping sound when the engine runs but that's it. I highly recommend putting this in line with any of the sockets on a second gen Prius or any other car with a noisy 12 system. Your sanity will thank you.

I wired this in line with the power wire going to a cheap Bluetooth head unit.The old wiring in my pickup has a lot of voltage dips and noise from the ignition and the turn signals. It'd make the radio cut out and in with the noise on the line.This product helped smooth the power to the radio and can even power the radio for a second or two after turning off the key. This made the cheap radio use-able again. The power smoothing of the head unit itself is not adequate on its own.

Ive installed an aftermarket car stereo in my car and i had winning noise when the motor of the car was on following the rpm , i installed this noise filter and the sound in the speaker is gone 👍 thank you , Nice product

Filter obviously not tested at factory- blew in-line fuses (20 Amp) ahead of it in circuit immediately after being installed, and continued to do so when fuses replaced.
