Excellent Ratchet!
If you are into moderately heavy duty work such as motor cycle or car repair or DIY work, this ratchet is for you. Even for some household work, this is useful. This ratchet goes well with the socket set Taparia S23M/S23H 1/2-Inch Square Drive Socket Set. The extension rods available in that socket set are of 1/2 inch and can be used with this ratchet. Keep in mind that the mentioned socket set includes sockets from number 8 to 22. This is good for bigger nuts, which means moderately heavy work. You do not have to worry about inserting this in a smaller place etc. since the above mentioned set or a few others such as universal adaptor can do the job of reaching the corners or interior parts of any machine. So, some reviews that mention that the handle is too big, inconvenient for using in unreachable areas etc. are not correct. Taparia also makes a 1/4 inch ratchet, hence it is clear: you buy this if you want to work with bigger nuts, which need higher torque. Coming to the pricing, this is available for around Rs.900/- now. This is the investment needed for anyone serious about such work. If you think this is costly and look for cheaper options, then you are not investing in good tools. Taparia is known for quality, which lasts for years. Hold this ratchet in your hand and you will feel the heaviness and build quality. So, if you want a ratchet for 1/2 inch sockets, go ahead and buy this without worrying about the quality and pricing. It is a made in India product from the house of Taparias. If you are into tool based work, you know what does it mean.

Pros and cons explained
Build quality is excellent with super finish good quality steel. But Not appropriate for heavy tight, not with small work space areas. Iam a bike mechanic and i didn't find massive use for investing 700/- into my toolbox. Might be useful for another fields with long thread/long bolts. Suggestion for taparia: number of teeths should be increased to reduce quick Retranching Reason for less rating: can't be used for heavy tights, less gear teeths Product is same as described, good quality
