Having tried many brands of lotions, potions, supplements and a heat pen, this product is my go-to. The only thing that really helps me is prescription medicine, which really does reduce both the number of occurences and the severity of the breakout. But when a cold sore threatens, Herpatch forms a seal and prevents the sore from bursting, worsening or spreading, minimising the damage and helping it heal faster. I can use a little lipstick on top to disguise the sore.

I suffer with awful coldsores whenever I’m run down & this has popped up the last few times I’ve had one and I’ve held off trying it because of the price but this stuff is amazing!! Just a thin layer over the sore & after two days it was just a minor red mark, completely skipped the blistery/weepy stage too. Knocked one star off as it does have the pva glue like peel effect to it where after a while you can see the edges peeling up but I’d 100% recommend it for its healing powers!

For years I have suffered with awful cold sores and it’s been a nightmare. This is such a great treatment that actually works. I applied it at the first tingle and the sore barely developed. It also helps to hide an active coldsore so it doesn’t look as bad. It dries quickly and forms a light, protective film. Definitely a staple in my cabinet now and I always have a few in my work, gym bag etc. You also get a free spf lip balm with it.

As a long time sufferer I was recommended to use this stuff by a friend a few years ago. It seems to last for ages you don't need to use much of it. As soon as I feel a cold sore I stick this stuff on and helps dry it out in no time. I can only compare it to glue so if you get it wet it will come off, so works best if they're on the outside of the lip. Much prefer this over the patches as it stays in longer. Only downside is it's so hard to find it in the UK which also means it's expensive. However it's a small sacrifice as I find it works really well!!

Amazing! Did not relised it comes gel that forms like a cover patch and extra lip balm. Did not try lip balm but the gel patch ablosute must as it covers and keeps healing quicker do not need reapply for the whole day (if did not come off with food) mine didnt! and healing its self was so much quicker without pulling off scab, bleeding and other problems that we get when use only ordinary cream. Definitely buying again as a proper herpes sufurer for years very happy I found this by chance.

The serum (5ml tube) takes the pain from the cold sore almost instantly, but I did find you still get a little of the crawling sensation at odd times. It helps to mask it a little and It's easy to remove by soaking with tissues, I used cold water, or washing gently with warm water, making cleaning of the area easy. It seals the cold sore and stops that nasty crust forming. Needs to be reapplied after eating or drinking, but it doesn't take long to dry, maybe 30 seconds. It looks and smells like PVA, and that's because that's what it contains, along with other healing/soothing ingredients. This is much better than the patches, which peel off easily and can get food stuck under the patches making it look unsightly. No chance of that happening with this serum. The balm is fp30 sunblock, but I didn't find it moisturising as other lip sun blocks I have used, so I popped some vaseline over the top to help moisturise my lips. A sunblock is a must to help prevent coldsores during sunny summer days, so I'm glad this was included in the pack.
