First Artisan pad and still feels new years later
Great mousepad. This was my first Artisan pad, and I bought it after hearing how durable they are and how well they hold their surface over time. That reputation ended up being completely true for me. My only “complaint” is sizing. I really thought the Large would be bigger, but it is honestly pretty small. If you are used to XL pads, this will feel limiting fast, especially for low sens. That said, the smaller size ended up being a nice surprise for a different use case. I now use this as my productivity/desk pad because the footprint makes more sense in that setup, and it actually looks cleaner than an XL in that scenario. Durability has been excellent. I have had it since 2022 and it still feels brand new. The texture has not worn down, the stitched edges are still perfect, and the base still grips well. I wash it occasionally and clean it regularly with a damp towel, and it has held up extremely well. I also tried the Hayate Otsu, and I agree with what I wrote in my other review: the Otsu is not a direct “upgrade” to the Hien. They are different pads for different preferences and playstyles (same idea with the Zero having its own fanbase). Going forward, I will probably buy a larger size for gaming because I am a low-sensitivity player. I aim with my whole arm and use my wrist for micro-adjustments. I did not start that way (I used to be more of a wrist aimer), but over years of gaming this style has given me more control. Because of that, larger mousepads are a must for me in many games.

amazing mouse pad
I've had this pad for roughly a year now and it has not betrayed me, while it did take a little to adjust from going from an x-raypad ac v2 once the adjustment period was over I was in love with the speed and feel. For me personally I couldn't use this pad without a sleeve as I tend to dig my palm into the pad. Another thing worth noting is that the base of the pad sticks well to the desk the pad will not move unless you want it to move which is amazing because I hate when my mouse pad moves even 1 mm at the end of a gaming session. This pad is huge the only time I found myself needing more space was when I was in a prolonged close range fight where I never had time to lift my mouse to reset it. Keynotes The base has great stick to desk The feeling of the pad in use is amazing Personally I need to use a sleeve however it is not a pad where most would need one Large amount of mouse space unless your a low sense monster you won't need something bigger VERY IMPORTANT- if you are going to wash this pad please please please make sure that when you put the pad in a towel do not roll the towel this pad will be permanently messed up if you do so. Mine looks fine now after I messed it up but because of the small creases it messes up the sensor of the mouse.

Great first performance mouse pad
This was the first mousepad I bought for performance. I have always bought deskmats or mousepads with design in mind and never really thought about the performance. After doing some research about mousepads, I came across Artisan mousepads and had to get one. I couldn't wait for the shipping from Japan so I came to Amazon. Feel: This mouse pad is a little bit rough. So far, I have been gaming without a long sleeve and haven't seen any issues. I know some people don't like the feeling on their forearm/wrist, but it hasn't really affected me. I only notice it if I pay attention to it, but there hasn't been any irritation on my skin of any sort. Quality: The stitched edges look and feel great. I didn't spot any fraying or imperfections on the stitching. The pad feels like it will last a long time, but I've only had it for a little over a month. Functionality: I wanted a speed pad and was looking at the Artisan Raiden, but decided to get the Hien since I read online that the Raiden had issues with Logitech mouse sensors. After getting new mouse skates paired with the Hien, it is plenty of speed for me. I can't imagine how fast it would feel with the Raiden, so I am happy I went with the Hien. Overall, I am happy with my purchase. I could never go back to my old generic extended mouse pad I bought from Amazon years ago. Maybe I need to switch to new pads more often, but I will see how this Hien holds up. I feel like the Hien would be a great pad to start off with to see if you want something faster or slower. Also, mouse skates makes a huge difference. My OEM skates on my Logitech mouse felt more controlled, but too slow for my liking. After switching to new skates, it created the perfect pairing with my Hien.

I think a tad overhyped but still outstanding quality
After many many years of playing on a Qck+, I "upgraded" to a HyperX Fury S because of the size and I used it for a bout 7 months or so, before it started to wear down and I felt like I needed a new mousepad. Artisan was very hyped for its quality and performance, but since I didn't wanna wait 2-3weeks for shipping, I decided to order from here and I can tell you that the mousepads are 100% authentic!! It took 2 days to come, but you do have to pay the premium for the faster delivery time, it's up to you if you wanna pay a bit more to get it sooner. The packaging was really nice and secure, definitely no damage to the pad whatsoever and it's Winter here in Chicago. Straight out of the box, the material felt really sandpaper-ish and scratchy, but I got used to everything in about 3 days. It's not as bad as people say! Also the mousepad breaks-in in about the same, around 3 days for me. I got a Hien Soft (not XSoft, that's even softer) XL in Wine Red. A truly beautiful mousepad. It is definitely faster than any cloth mousepad out there, but it does break down and slow overtime. I do enjoy the glide (I have a GPW with Corepadz) but the drawback is that it feels way too fast sometimes, it really takes getting used to. Overshooting was a problem the first couple of days, but with adjustment to sensitivity and DPI, you'll feel right at home. The Hien has INCREDIBLE stopping power for how fast it is, honestly. I'm pretty happy with my purchase, but I do feel like I'm going to go with a Zero Soft/Xsoft, just to see what the difference is. Don't be scared of the price tag, Artisan pads hold really good value.

Great Quality 💯
This was my first Artisan mousepad, but going into it my expectations were high, and I'd say they were met. It's a really good mousepad and I feel like my aim has gotten better with it. I mainly play Fortnite and its great. I did play some Siege with it and it worked well on there, too, but I would recommend a different pad (like the Zero) if you play Siege. I haven't cleaned it yet because I just got it, so I do not know if it is easy to clean. It is almost IMPOSSIBLE to slip. It barely budges with a full force push, so don't worry about that. It's has good glide and pretty good stopping power. I do think it's worth it, but for some it might be to much.

Hybrid Tracking/Control
Artisan is the best mouse pad you can buy, depending on your play style and preferences. Ive owned 2 so far and the hein is amazing compared to the zero, again preferences. The zero you have a more control over speed style with better stopping power, but compromised speed, making it better for those struggling to perform flicks and accuracy in shooter games. I'm not knocking the zero as ill keep it in my arsenal for specific games, but the hein is the perfect hybrid, tracking, stopping power, and overall accuracy once you get use to it. The difference in thickness too makes it a overall better choice as the zero has very little grip on your desk then the hein, the only way to adjust it is lift the whole mouse pad off the desk to position it the way you see fit. Artisan is hands down the best mouse pad I've ever dealt with, and ill continue to buy there products for my needs as I see fit. There is also a chart that shows the best fit for you if you Google it, they are top teir, no glazing just pure preference and expierence. The conclusion this is a pure tracking/control hybrid beast of a pad.

Sure.
Authentic. End-game. If you like buttery smooth mouse movement (granted, it is highly advised that you use rounded edged glass mouse skates with this pad), then you’ll appreciate the product. Glide: 10/10. Feel: 9/10. Value for money: 5/10 (much cheaper overseas, non-import). Ease of cleaning: limitless, wear a sleeve, lint roll, then cover the pad after each use. Clean it once a year in lukewarm bath water with non-abrasive soap. Feel of maintained properly, 9/10. All surfaces degrade over time. End-game pad. Authentic.
