Best scar tape out there!
I never write reviews -- only when a product is so good or so bad that I feel absolutely compelled to share. 95% of everything I buy falls somewhere in the middle of that range, so I don't write reviews very often! This product, however, is amazing. I had a skin cancer on my upper lip, so I had a surgery three years ago from the top of my lip starting at the bottom of my nose, down through my entire lip and to the underside where my lip meets my teeth. The surgeon said heeling would be minimal and there would be no scar. Not so! It healed very red and puffy. I started researching and found a lot of data showing that silicone scar tape really works at improving scars. So I bought some (another brand) and immediately noticed improvement. I used it every night. Then I ran out and bought a different brand (wanting one that could be delivered next day). That one worked as well. A third purchase was yet a different brand for the same reason of quick delivery. I was happy with each brand. None of them would stick all that well because the top of your lip sweats and the actual lip part is always wet when you drink coffee or put on chapstick, whatever, so I didn't fight the non sticking issue--I just changed the scar tape often and was consistent with it. Then I moved and lost my package of scar tape and instead of ordering more, I just let it go, but then my scar started to get puffy again, so I ordered this brand -- it was a next day delivery and a few dollars cheaper. Amazing! It sticks no matter what! I only use it at night, but with the other brands, I put it on at bedtime and most mornings it had rubbed off or was halfway off, having peeled at all the edges -- and never made it through a cup of coffee! With this particular scar tape, it is as tight in the morning as at night when I put it on. I can go downstairs for coffee, drink it, eat breakfast and get dressed and the tape hasn't budged! But when I peel it off it doesn't hurt; it comes off very easily. In a week my scar is flat again. I suppose I'll have to wear scar tape at night for the rest of my life to keep it flat, but I'm sure glad it's available because it makes a huge difference! If you have to have a skin cancer removed on your face, go to a plastic surgeon -- this was a very hard lesson learned!

Better than the “leading brand”
I had carpal tunnel surgery first on one wrist and then the other about three months later, and didn’t want to have the scars to show for it. After reading tons of reviews, I bought Scarbandit and Cica brand. This one arrived first, just as I got my stitches out, so I started with this one. I applied it consistently for about a month. When I got the other wrist done, I used the Cica brand since I was almost out of this one. This one is better, in my opinion. It’s thinner, which might not seem like an advantage, but you don’t need thickness for it to work, and it stays on longer without the edges peeling up since it basically becomes a very thin extra layer of skin. The Scarbandit would stay on for about three days, even through showers and tons of hand washing - and I’m in healthcare, so I wash my hands more times than I can count. When I went back to my doctor after a month, he was amazed at the scar, or virtual lack of one, and I told him about this tape. He wanted the link to it and had his assistant order it immediately. I still had the Cica tape when I recently had the other wrist done, so I’m currently using that, but I’m reordering the Scarbandit because I end up having to take the Cica tape to work with me and replace it three times a day or more because the water ends up loosening it or the edges start rolling up. The scar is still very red, itchy, and sore after three weeks, and it wasn’t on the other wrist when using the Scarbandit. I’ve been getting hand therapy from my coworker and he’s been so impressed that he’s now recommending it to other patients. I’ve also recommended it to my daughter since she’s a hairstylist and those super sharp scissors result in some cuts on her fingers from time to time. Of course they have to get their hands wet on and off all day. She takes it off after work while the cut is healing but this has been fantastic for her to use instead of a bandaid that needs to be changed constantly.

Short changed on this brand
First, I had no idea there was such a thing as "Scar tape" I've only ever used Mederma. I found some tape at Walmart Scar-away I think is the brand. I paid both my arms for it so I thought I'd use Dr. Google to find it cheaper. So I ordered this one and another brand from Amazon.Pluses = it comes in a roll for a good price. You can cut as much as you need so it's not wasteful. When cutting it round the corners so it won't catch on stuff. The price was right. You can pay $30 or more for 6 sheets.Minuses = it hates sweat. I have to wait until I'm completely dry from the shower to apply it and get it to stick. I wear gloves at work and I have to protect the Scar on my left hand cuz it's still healing. This brand does not like to stay in place. It says "shower proof" hahahaha THAT'S A LIE! It won't stay on when you get wet or sweat. But in defense, I haven't found a silicone Scar tape that sticks in water. Maybe this brand would be good to wear at bedtime. If anyone wants to know the brand I personally prefer I think you can ask a question and it will send it.

Must wash and dry sure well before applying.
I used Scarbandit after I broke my wrist and had repair surgery and a carpal tunnel repair -2 incision wounds- I was skeptical but tried this product in the advice of my PT. It works great! It adheres to both sites- inner arm and to palm of my hand. I got a 1” tape that I cut in half lengthwise, wash it every day with Dawn, let it dry and reuse for 5 days before cutting a new one off the roll. Also wash incisions with soap and dry well before applying. My incision sites are healing great- scars will be minimal:)
