New Balance Men's 696 V3 Hard Court Tennis Shoe

I got these tennis shoes because I wanted to start playing pickleball and wanted to have the right footwear. These are my first pair of actual tennis shoes, so I don't have much to compare them too. I think they are great so far. They seem to have a few negative reviews but I haven't noticed any of those issues yet. They fit a little tight but from what I read tennis shoes are supposed to fit that way. The outsoles seem pretty durable, so far, after 3 weeks of use. I don't see any signs of wear at all. They are pretty comfortable and provide a good level of support. The only negative I have is that my heels don't always feel super locked in, even when tied as tight as possible. Overall I think these shoes are great and you can find these for pretty cheap. So, if you're looking for your first pair of tennis shoes, or don't want to spend too much on a pair I'd say these would be a good choice.

I bought these for playing Pickleball after rolling my ankles a few times while using running shoes. These are much more stable than running shoes as you'd imagine.They weren't very comfortable out of the box. They had very little arch support and thin insoles. I replaced them with a knee support insole from Dr. Scholl's and they are great now. Might want to go half a size up knowing you'll need an insole, I had already gone up due to other reviews so it worked out well.

The reviews are correct that the size runs small. I ordered 1/2 size larger and the next width wider and the shoes fit perfectly. The shoes are also very light but with very good support. The low tread wear is amazing. I have tried many brands over the last two years and I wear the tread out in about 4 weeks ( I play 15 hours of Pickleball a week on hard courts). I have had these shoes about 4 weeks and there is hardly any wear. These are by far the best shoes I have found and the price is great. I just hope they keep making them.

I've worn the NB 623 models for several years with no problem. However, I liked the look of this shoe (NB 696v3) and decided to give it a try. Overall, the shoes fit well with one, painful exception. During a short break-in walk I became aware of a stiff spot in the leather on the medial side of the shoe at the base of my right toe and my foot became sore in that area. When I returned and removed my shoe, I had a deep, bloody sore the size of a nickel where the skin had been worn off and the blood had soaked through my sock and stained the inside of the shoe at the point of friction. It's been two weeks now and the skin has still not completely healed despite treatment with Liquid Bandage, Neosporin and bandages, and the spot is still sensitive when I put on shoes (not the 696v3, I'm done with them) and I've yet to be able to return to my daily walk. While the quality of NB shoes has declined noticeably during recent years, I've never experienced anything approaching this level of discomfort. I sincerely hope that NB revamps their quality control inspections in the very near future. Buyer beware.

I read some reviews that say this shoe runs small, but for me it fits as expected. And I wear a strange hard to find size 8.5 4E. Shoes are comfortable and grip well in the squash/racquetball court.

I am a new balance fan . Have 2 pair of the 1006 . Love them. However this shoe is fair at best.Price was great , fit ok. Just not very comfortable or flexible. Would not buy again.

Too tight

I like them, they are very comfortable. They look a little like old man shoes. The color distracts from the old man look a little bit. I am 55 and I don't need anything to make me look older

La descripción del producto dice "suela rígida" y efectivamente, la suela de estos tenis se siente muy solida y no tiene la flexibilidad de otros modelos. Sin embargo, son bastante cómodos, se ven bien, se sienten bastante robustos y los materiales parecen de buena calidad. La talla es correcta.

Bastante cómodos, protegen muy bien el tobillo y tienen buen grip en cancha dura.
