So I used this with resin for a small sun catcher. I'm positive it would work better with chocolates when it comes to the basket and the connector to the balloon itself. Resin seemed to overflow in that area to make up for the leveling. I believe if you were working with sugar/chocolate you could balance that out possible better. But it's difficult to get that 'space' in that area as pictured, at least with my personal use of the mold.Otherwise it's adorable, I've put both sides together to make a solid hot air balloon and it's nothing but cute! I would totally suggest getting it! It's a nice mold for a starter and leftover pours if you work with resin. Cleaning it is totally easy, even in the more detailed areas, no issues that hot water and taking some time to actually clean it couldn't help.I don't mind not having the 'spacing' just a little difficult to achieve it. It's worth the price for experimenting and making little gifts with. Worth it.
