Don't waste your money
Minimally better than the already overpriced kid style microscopes. The 10x and 40x magnifications don't work properly. Because the lenses are inset, it's impossible to clean them. The microscope is almost entirely plastic and very cheaply put together. If you've ever used a real microscope, you will not like this one. I gave it two stars because the x4 magnification does work.

***NO SCIENCE KIT IN BOX***
Ordered this microscope and kit as a gift, it was missing the science kit that came with. Decided to reach out to ESSLNB and they said it was an error and they would send me another and i could keep the first. The second microscope arrived also without a kit, so i am pretty sure the listing is wrong, but both microscopes work well. Just plan on buying a slide set.
