Works perfectly, great customer support.
the install takes about as long as the video on the web site, assuming all goes well. Mine didn't; my module was faulty. The seller worked with me via email, got back right away with diagnostics, and shipped replacement priority mail. Cannot say enough good about seller's support. One thing to know; the cut and splice on the TMPS wire really requires a good crimping tool, pliers won't do the job. The wire is pretty small. The $5 Harbor Freight crimping tool works fine, and Amazon sells a good selection. I ended up soldering mine and using the splices to cover the soldered joints. Easy-peasy. I had a little hesitation about cutting into the wiring harness on a brand new truck, but no big deal, it's easy to access and invisible when I'm done. The covering over the new harnesses matches the OEM Toyota harness, I doubt the average dealer tech could tell the difference. I just looks OEM.The TPMS splice is probably the hardest part, and it's almost trivial. Otherwise it's a matter of stuffing the wiring and module into the dash and zip-tying things so they don't rattle. Three bolts and a pull and the dash panel is off, two screws and the steering wheel cowling is off, and you're looking at everything. It goes back together about that fast, too.One quirk; if you start immediately after locking, you need four pushes; one to lock, three to start. it seems to prefer a deliberate pace, not three real quick pushes; maybe a second between pushes, but not real finicky. This is going to be so great this summer, so I can get the AC going before stepping outside.I see there are several vendors on line selling what looks like the exact same stuff, at prices ranging from about $160 to well over $300. The control modules all appear identical, which makes me suspect that they are all the same kit, just packaged differently. I went with this vendor because of the great, and well-deserved, reviews about their support.

Start-X Remote Start
Installed in a 2019 Toyota Tacoma, "H-Key" start on a Saturday. Video is helpful for install. Written directions are also helpful (which is unusual) nice job! Physical installation was simple. For programming, I held the program button down while I plugged the ignition plug into the module (as directed). Nothing happened, there was no LED activity as stated in video/directions. I contacted support via email, expecting to hear nothing until Monday. I received an email in return within 10 minutes of sending mine. They advised checking the ground connection. I put the ground where it showed in the video (behind the plastic from the dash), which didn’t work. So removed it, and placed it under the bolt but on top of the plastic (from the dash), which worked. Progamming was a snap and the unit works perfectly as described. The truck even starts if the door is open. Press the "LOCK" button 3 times with about a half a second between each press and it starts. Press the LOCK button 3 times, while the vehicle is running it shuts down. Vehicle shuts off after about 20 minutes of run time (approximately). NOTE: For the 2019 Tacoma (mine at least), there is a Tire Pressure Management System (TPMS) connection, which does require cutting a wire and attaching a supplied connection for the remote start module. The video is very clear on which wire to cut, strip, and connect using the supplied but connectors. The wire is VERY small! I recommend twisting the stripped strands, then folding the stripped wire in half prior to placing into and crimping but connector. OVERALL, I am impressed with the time to install, the responsiveness of customer service when I had a problem, and the operation thus far. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Easy to install and works
Easy to install. There's video instructions online which makes it easy. TPMS was the "hardest" part of the install which needed me to cut a wire and splice another wire to it. This can be quite intimidating for inexperienced people but is definitely doable. I installed the extra remote and RF extender which was easy to program.

Works. Easy setup.
It works. The premade plug and play portion of it was really easy. The tpms wire was a pain. The butt connectors they give you are too big. I soldered mine and shrink tubed them. A little finicky on how many times you hit the lock button and you have to do it at a certain rhythm or else it doesn't auto start. Took one star off for the cheap and wrong sized butt connectors.

Affordable and quality where it matters..
I’ve seen a few review stating they had problems after the install where their dash would go haywire and truck would start. Having a background in boat electrics i’m content to state those problems were most likely due to improper ground. I used a grounding point on the actual metal frame of the dash instead of the screw point they mention which i found the threads to be painted so you won’t get the best ground there. I have a switch harness i made for all my aux accessories and the switches need to be backlit at night so the ground for them is on that same screw i have on the dash frame. Never had issues there so figured this location would be best. The TPMS wire is small around a 22awg i believe. You can use red butt splice but it’s best to double up the wire by folding it onto itself to “thicken” the amount of wire then insert in butt splice and crimp. also don’t be afraid to remove that connector which is a latch connector one latch at the top and pull from the top downward. Remove some tape and trace the TPMS wire (mine was pink) down a bit and cut where you have room to work with. Programming for me failed first time as per the instructions i used that came with the kit. I left everything unplugged first then held the program button while inserting the power continue holding the button and release upon seeing red and blue led together (best not to “click” the power all the way down, because if you screw up programming that connector is in there tight) after power connected then connect the two white connectors and red TPMS connector and do the 10 presses on button and wait for it to continue to blink red and blue then insert key l, it will flash then stop and stay steady that’s how you know it’s good. 3 slow presses does the trick but 4 button presses always works.

Start x knows what their doing!!
Installed one on my truck and bought this one to install on my inlaws truck. Once again love these kits, I'm a mechanic and have always been weary of aftermarket remote starters due them usually having to splice into wires and the problems they can cause but these plug and play kits are amazing! Took me probably about 30mins to do a really clean install and program! I didn't use the tpms interrupt wiring as this tacoma doesnt have the factory option for it but everything works just as it should! Once again am a very happy costumer and will be buying more of start x's products in the future!

Budget Remote start for the DIYer
This remote start is budget friendly and easy to install. For my 2022 SR5 Tacoma, I did not even have to cut a wire.

Worked as desired, Instructions not 100% accurate.
Worked as desired, Instructions not 100% accurate. Only issue installing was I had to plug all wire harnesses in first before the power harness. Programming worked as per instructions after. First, I followed the included instructions that state you should do the opposite and install the power/ignition plugin first, that did not work. Also installed the Fortin RF KIT RFK411 for long range remote at the same time. Happy with the product so far. Those instructions were also wrong, required the key to be on-off-on and pump the brakes as per the instructions, the blue light also never came on. After I figured that out it all worked. Installed in a 2023 Tacoma SR and the truck stays running when I open the door. Since it is an SR I did NOT have to splice any wires, all plug and play.
