No. They are black. But be aware that the socks run small.

Yes, its a very thin, shorter one. I had to go look to make sure . The seam doesn't bother me. Lots of seams bother me since I;m getting older and my feet are getting wider and they rub on one toe or another when I am hiking my 2 miles a day.

Are these good for the gym?

Well, I'm 72 and haven't been to a gym for some time, but I walk my dogs a couple miles a day and these Sox are very comfortable. Good luck!
