Useful Guide
I originally purchased the previous edition in 2013 when I was a first year as it was a required text for my business law module. It was really useful and I found it explained concepts really well, especially the EU regulation section. I sold it to a friend when I was in second year, and have since regretted it. I borrowed a copy of this updated version from the library a few times since graduating and joining the world of work, to check aspects of contract law, before purchasing one now.Important Disclaimer: if you need legal advice, you should always speak to a solicitor!I have used this as a reference point to improve my understanding of our commercial contracts and their enforceability and for employment law. Always be mindful that HR and your employer’s legal team are there to represent the interests of the company and ensure the company complies with the law, and always read the Terms & Conditions of any contract you are given to sign. From a studying perspective, there is also a very helpful study skills section at the back that gives exam and assignment advice. The only negative I could think of, was that this version of the book has the page numbers on the top of the page in the middle which is a bit annoying as it’s not where I expect them.
