Skin, Bones, and Too Much Love

I’m super bummed. I had such high hopes for this book because I love the author. It was a small gift to myself and I was very excited when it arrived. Reading into it, it was just SUPER depressing, all about waiting for the love of your life, being heart broken and treated badly but still loving and wanting a person. Strange message in a new world that promotes female empowerment and living and going at your own pace. This book would be good to give someone who is in a toxic relationship and wants to believe that staying in it will show the other person how much you love them..... no. This now collects dust in the back of my bookshelf.

S.L Gray is a recent Instagram find to me. I entered a new phase in my life, and have found poetry, particularly love poetry, intriguing. After reading just a couple of her poems, I was hooked - the words invoked feelings that resonated so personally, I felt like I had to add her book to my collection. This is the first poetry book, behind Shel Silverstein, that I felt was worth the purchase. And it lives up to the title.The book is split into 3 sections, untitled, but defined loosely by the love, breakup and the healing phase. Some of the poems can live anywhere, really, regardless of the phase.

Wife is a big fan. This is a gorgeous poetry book, filled with a lot of rawness ... Could not put it down! Will patiently wait for the next one from this author!

Every single word, every single page, every single chapter- right till the very end- had me hooked. This is going to be one of my favourite books forever. It is so concise, so raw, so authentic, and so genuine. I felt every second of it. Thank you to the author, for allowing us to experience her talent and journey.

Love this book! One thing I did notice... I do this thing where I have someone pick a number between the page numbers and noticed there is a misprint with the page numbers. (No 73 but two 75s) doesn’t change the poetry but thought I’d bring it to attention.

This books really inspired me alots, if you are lack of love or having some anixety on friendship or relationship you should get this books. the author have a really good writing bases and her words is damn motivated to me. You all should go and buy this book!

Book is extremely dirty and back corner of the book is bent so that has bent about 25% of the back pages.. amazing poetry from the author of this book but the book quality itself is disappointing for the price I paid.
