We recently moved to an area with heavy farming and were worried about the water quality. Motivated by our Earth - saving teen daughter, we decided that plastic bottles were not the way to go, and ordered this based on the awesome reviews. It arrived well packaged with simple instructions. You sink the filter in water (it wants to float, we put a spoon on it to try and keep it down) for 15 minutes and then its ready to use. The plugs on the bottom can adjust to make it filter more slowly or more quickly. On its high speed it will filter the entire upper area in under 5 minutes. The water just pours through. So, ok, you pour out the first couple of pitchers and then you can drink it. So, how do I describe this? This water tastes like nothing. Nothing. I guess water probably shouldn't have a taste because it makes it delicious. It just feels like your body absorbs it. Again, probably the way water *should* be. It has become a bit of a novelty. The kids have their friends try the water when they come over because it is really interesting how clean and pure the water really tastes. Very very highly recommend.

I read most of the Amazon reviews for water filtering pitchers and I think the Levoit had one of the highest favorable ratings, with one of the lowest bad ratings. Anyway, I am very pleased with this product, it is made of very high quality plastic, is easy to use, the filters last a long time and are reasonably priced, but most importantly, I noticed a big difference in the taste of the water. I live in central Florida with notoriously bad tasting water, and this really improved the taste. I should mention that I have filtered water in the refrigerator and that I am using this water to fill the Levoit, Noticed a change in taste with first sip.

I bought this pitcher after practically loosing my mind over the leaky piece of crap filter/dispenser I purchased last year. The crappy black Brita tap fridge dispenser leaked ALL its contents into my fridge at least 18 times, practically ruining the fridge, filling the drawers with water and flooding the area under the fridge. Finally had enough when the lever to dispense the water literally snapped off in my hand and I pounded the hell out of it with a hammer and replaced it with this beauty! So far, BEST. PITCHER, EVER. More affordable than the other name brands, replacement filters are affordable, water tastes great, best of all not flimsy feeling, but not too heavy when filled. Wish I'd seen it before I spent $40 on that other hunk of junk! Don't bother spending money on a "name brand" that can't compete... This is a great pitcher, great taste, great capacity and perfect weight. Just buy it!

Purchased this pitcher to eliminate the chlorine taste in our water. It does make the water clean and fresh tasting with no hint of chlorine. Can't address whether it works on removing other impurities from the water since I haven't tested it by other means. My only complaint is that the water flow from the filter is quite slow at times even after enlarging the opening as indicated in the instructions. Removing the filter every so often and shaking it a bit seems to resolve the problem. Very easy to fill and seems to be well made. All in all very happy with the purchase.

I am in a new home and the water via the fridge, was not hooked up. I couldn't stand the fact that I was buying numerous bottled water packs monthly. Not only is it a waste of money, but it is also horrific for the environment. I tried to drink the tap water, and sometimes it tasted fine, yet other times there was this chlorine taste to it. To be honest, this is the only way I can describe the taste.I opted to buy this instead of a brita due to the reviews. I really enjoy this water pitcher, as the water really tastes great. Better than bottled water to be honest. It was easy to set up, and I like the fact it holds a lot of water. We are avid water drinkers in this house, so this was important.

The filter needs to soak for 15 minutes before inserting in the pitcher and it needs to fill up 3 times and emptied out before actually filling it back up in order to use and the water flows through slowly.BUT you will get the cleanest tasting water ever with this. It is definitely not a cheap system that has the filter so loose that it fills up in 1 minute..this is the only filter system I have found that uses reverse osmosis (or do it seems) that does not cost a fortune. My name brand pitcher seems to have too many issues namely the filter does not seem to fit properly ,so if you want the best drinking water this is the system to go with..my husband and I do not mind the extra effort to get the filter ready,it is well worth the end result..and no leaking or water spilled everywhere,it pours out perfectly..no issues!

Mi hija de 5 años ya se hace su agua llenandolo, es decir si es facil de uso. El agua no tiene sabor y la operación de filtración es bastante rápida. Es un buen medio de tener siempre agua en la mesa

La carafe à eau fonctionne bien, l’eau est parfaitement filtrer sans aucun goût. Cependant je n’arrive plus à trouver de cartouche filtrante disponible à la vente, ce qui rend le produit obsolète est inutile dans le temps !!!

El agua se percibe bien filtrada, la separación de las dos cámaras y la velocidad en que filtra todo es estupendo.
