PS3 Controller 2 Pack Wireless 6-axis Double Shock Gaming Controller for Sony Playstation 3 with Motion Control, Charging Cord

Since Sony no longer makes PS3 controllers I gave these a try as replacements. They look and feel just like PS3 controllers with the only difference being the ergonomic grooves on the handles for your fingers. I fully charged both of them and was able to power on and off my PS3 with them. I have been playing Far Cry 3 with them and both controllers work perfectly fine with no issues at all. The battery for first controller lasted about a week (10-15 hours) which I think was comparable to Sony's PS3 controller. I was able to fully charge it again. The second controller has got 1-bar of battery life left and seems to have lasted the same amount of time as the first. These controllers will turn themselves off after several minutes of non-use, which is actually a nice battery-saving feature the Sony PS3 controller doesn't have. My one and only complaint is that when charging the controllers the blinking lights never go out letting you know when the battery is fully charged. They just continue to blink, which is a bummer but not really a deal-breaker since you can just power on the controller after about 2 hours of charging and check to see if it's fully charge. Maybe TPFOON can fix that issue.

Both controllers connected right away to my PS3 Slim with no problems using the given instructions. I can't speak about battery life yet, but I appreciate how the controllers turn off after a while of inactivity to save battery, even if it is a little annoying at first.They are definitely not as heavy as the original Sony controllers. Some might view that as a con because it might feel like a cheap, plastic toy, but in my eyes it's a plus to not carry something as heavy.I dock a point because I receieved only 2 thumb grips instead of the promised 4, but all in all would highly recommend!

The controllers are well made. The battery life is disappointing. I charged the new controllers all day before using them the first time. I used one controller as a remote to watch a movie. So the controller was not in use for the two-hour duration of the movie except to push play and to stop the movie at the end. At the end of the movie, a warning popped up on the screen that said controller one battery is low. I was shocked that the controller on the controller ran down that quickly with hardly any use out of it at all. I am going to see how they do over the next few days before deciding to keep them or return them.

These are some great controllers. They feel very comfortable in your hands. I wasn't sure of the color in the picture, but they look better in my hand.... all the buttons and joystick respond well. They feel very well made. There are also some extra end caps for the toggles. They have little bumps on them for better control. I think they are just as good as the original sony's. I read some reviews that said they were to light. I find this not to be true. They are not to heavy either. They feel like a nice solid controller that works great. You can't go wrong with this . Plus you get two for the price of one. Don't hesitate, no need to look any more. Just get these, you won't be disappointed. I did not get these for free. I paid what the price said. I write reviews for good product that deserve it...

These controllers work amazingly very well the only problem I had is getting the circled grips on the joysticks had to use a pair of pliers to stretch them over the joysticks and that's when they fit.....Amazing controllers....But small grips.

Definitely not as good as OEM Sony Dualshock controllers, but I couldn't find any legit controllers and my old ones are worn out. These TPFOON controllers have a couple issues that bother me:1. The joysticks don't have good resolution coming out of the dead-band (neutral) position. It results in really jerky movement in shooters. That takes 1 to 1.5 stars off for me.2. The controllers tend to freeze every hour or so, leaving your character doing whatever last button press you did indefinitely. I wouldn't mind if you could turn the controllers off and reconnect, but you can't. I have to turn another controller on and make it controller 1 to take over. Eventually, the frozen controller turns off. The other option is to restart the console, which is obviously not ideal.

Honestly, these controllers are great. I really love them. You an turn the system on with them and they stay charged for a long time. My only problem is that the 30 day return was the 28th of November and the 30th of November, while I was without internet, the blue one started acting up. Nothing major. It just 'fights' when you are going forward, meaning that you are moving the left stick up to make your character move forward, but the character moves slowly and jittery, for lack of a better word. Every other direction is fine and the red one is showing no problems. I use them a lot, at least 8 hours a day, and it is just irritating that it happened just 2 days after policy. Otherwise, no problems.

The overall feel of these controllers is quite nice, they have a good weight to them and they feel like its a decent plastic, and they had a good enough feeling rumble feature. The battery life seemed to be quite good with the added auto off feature being a plus if your into that.The d-pads are fairly horrible, which is kind of a given with these kinds of things.Unfortunately due to manufacturing errors different buttons or features don't work on each on the controllers.When I first bought it the red controller had no functioning rumble and a bad left trigger. The blue one seemed fine asside from a dim controller number light, but I went ahead and did a replacement order and when I got the second pair again the red controller had problems, but this time with the start and circle buttons being unresponsive. The second blue controller seemingly had no issues.If they could address the inconsistencies these would be perfectly good controllers and at a really nice price point. It's just a shame really.
