The compression flare nut does not seal as well as other "cheaper" flow meters. I'll upload some comparison photos later when I have them. The tolerance on the brass pipe that goes through the compression flare nut is higher than others so when you tighten it down it does not seat perfectly level and you can see it tip the entire flow meter a little. the flare nut is also of thinner constitution so that contributes to the lack of an air tight seal as well. I crank this so tight to get a seal that I can hardly losses it later when exchanging tanks. it will leak in some tanks unless you really bear down on it. I've done comparison tests with other cheaper flow meters that I had handy that had better flare nuts to seal in the tank connection and with light tightening they sealed better for an air tight fit with no leaks. The dial gauge for the tank pressure is also of cheap constitution. So I'm taking parts from one flow meter and merging it with this one so that I can have something that will have quality parts all the way around. The flow meter itself works fine, but I gave it a 2 star because they do not have quality parts all the way around, some are good, some are cheap.I'd recommend trying another slightly more expensive brand, don't buy this one unless you like having gas leaking from the flare nut unless you torque it down to 150-200 lbs or so. Look closely at the flare fitting on the end of the inlet pipe and compare it to others that have a thicker base to the flare with allows it to compress better. Its difficult to explain, but all I can say is that when I put on a cheap 8 dollar flow meter from harbor freight that seals better, then in my book... that means they (flame tech) went cheap on the flare nut. How they pulled off putting a cheaper flare nut on their follow meter than harbor freight type meters is mind boggling to me, wouldn't have thought that was possible.

Works as it should
Over time I've found this brand and this style flow-meter to be more accurate and reliable than others.Be sure what you are buying. This is for a CO2 tank, not Argon or C-25 welding gasses.

I only bought this because it was $40 during cyber Monday...
Now I wish I would have bought 2 more so I wouldn't have to keep switching between my tig welder and mig welder, and for $40 bucks one more as spare! I feel at even $85 this is still a deal compared to the more expensive ones. I have been using this now for a month and half with no issues. Fittings fit my Alpha Tig and Lincoln 180c Powermig.

Worth every penny!
I’m extremely pleased with the quality of this gauge! This is one of those “you get what you pay for” lessons. I had a cheaper gauge prior to this one, and didn’t realize how bad it was until using this one!

Not the best there is but do the job well. Not used very often but fits well.

No cutting required
This regulator has the correct 5/8 female fitting that the oem hose from your welder will screw into to, unlike others that require your hose to be cut and pushed onto a supplied barb. It was a direct fit replacement for my lincoln 140 hd welder . I used the original hose. It was also very nice quality for the reasonable pricing

Refurbished Argon Flow Meter
For a refurbished item this was great. Some slight marks on the tank valve nut and cobbled together packaging were all that said refurbished item to me. I am waiting to refill my argon tank before I know if the Guage is anywhere accurate.

well it worked good for a couple days then gas started leaking out the nut behind gauges. tried to tighten but the brass just stripped. now I gotta turn on and off the tank after each weld. and the residual gas in hose still leaks out the nut. wasting gas. seemed good at first but is now screwing my s***up. I see i'm not the only one that had this problem. on the plus side that threads fit nicely with my hose threads so one star for that!
