Cuts time cleaning lead and plastic residue
A friend at the trap range recommended the Tornado for cleaning the shotgun bore. I tried it and have to admit it cut bore scrubbing time in half, maybe more. 3 wet patches with a good shotgun solvent, let sit, 3 pulls through with a wet Tornado, one pass with a "squeegee" head on a cable, 1 or 2 drying patches and a bore with 200 rounds of residue has a like new shine.

The tornado brush is the finest I have ever used.
The thing I love about the Hoppe's tornado bruch are the lace of bristles on the brush that can scratch the barrel. It is much easier whilken using this brush to push the saturated cleaning patch with solvent to a very even clean barrel. The best I have ever used,Sam MoceriAbaolutdobe

Best Choke Brush/Cleaner I've Found
This works great. After soaking my chokes for a few hours, a couple of passes with this brush gets almost all of the crud out!

Worked way better that a brass brush
TThis brush worked really well. It took out plastic fouling that had built up with only a few passes. Worked way better that a brass brush. If you are in the makrket for a brush buy this one!Excellent.

20 ga tornado cleans smoothe bore very well.
well built, fits 20 gage well, has better contact than traditional brush. It got all that plastic wadding out of the barrel with a couple passes. Would not use in rifled barrel.

It is a great idea, but the manufacturing process needs to be improved to be more reliable.
I have had 3 of these things disconnect from the saved aluminum mount so far.It is a great idea, but the manufacturing process needs to be improved to be more reliable.Maybe it's intentional because stainless does not wear out as fast as brass.

Nice brush, but note the thread size
Note that the thread size on this brush is the large "shotgun" size of 5/16-27, rather than the 8-32 threads common on rifle & pistol cleaning tools. I was surprised to receive this and discover that it did not fit my new one-piece cleaning rod, which has 8-32 size threads. The "8-32 male to 5/16-27 female" adapter required isn't especially easy to find, but I did locate one via Amazon.Seems like the sort of thing that should be in the product description, no?

best brush to clean smooth bore barrels! can't beat it - just be sure not to run it through your rifled barrels!
