Retired CIA agent Frank Moses is in love with Sarah Ross and enjoying their normal life. Out of the blue, Marvin Boggs meets Frank in the supermarket and tells that Wikileaks has released the information that they had participated and know the whereabouts of the Nightshade, a portable nuclear weapon that was smuggled in pieces and hidden in Russia. Now the top agents in the world are under contract to seek them out to discover where Nightshade is. The trio travels to Paris and teams-up with the Russian Katja to track down the former Russian Agent 'The Frog' to get more information about the operation. They learn that the brilliant inventor Dr. Edward Bailey might know where the weapon is. They discover that Bailey has been interned in an asylum in London by the MI-16 for thirty-two years and the British Victoria joins the team. Enjoyable film.
The film is a non stop entertainer with action, chases and humour. Bruce Willis leads the team but John Malkovich is superb with his one liners and action. Helen Mirren with all those goody roles comes as a great surprise with all the toughness she portrays as an assassin. Get this film, it is great entertainment.

I am sorry that I have given only one star as the disc I received says "ERROR DISC" and had to return the same. Having said that My friends who have seen the part one of RED say the part 2 i.e. RED 2 is good. Unfortunately I asked for a replacement and they had no stock as it was the last pcs. I f you are lucky you might get this movie back on the shelves of Amazon very soon. Go for it. Especially if you have seen the first part.

As good as the first one (How often does that happen?)
An explosive sequel to the first, and in my opinion, every bit as good. Good ol' Frank Moses is still trying to enjoy being retired, but it's just not possible. Marvin still thinks people are after them, and he's right, this time in the shape of his former buddy Han Cho-Bai, and a mysterious conspiracy to free a mad scientist who could cause the world to be destroyed. It's crash bang wallop all the way, proving that you really can have laughs and mindless destruction at the same time. And of course, there's the immortal line where Catherine Zeta Jones says she find bald men attractive. (I'm bald). excellent sequel
As a film excellent and as a sequel, brilliant. OK, so we've probably seen the plot or storyline a few times or certainly something very similar but the way ALL these actors all gel-together is marvellous. The cast is excellent with paranoids like Marvin (John Malkovich) and his dry-humour and asides, Bruce Willis NOT taming the World single - handedly, Hung Lee Byung - the Korean assassin - Anthony Hopkins - the eccentric professor - Helen Mirren - hot shot Dame - and Catherine Zeta-Jones and Mary Louise Parker the 2 love interests but with big roles. Add to these David Thewlis, Brian Cox and Neal McDonough and you have a very good film with comedy, drama, romance and mayhem. For once the 'extras' are good with a gag reel and 'behind the scenes featurette' rayher than the Directors Commentary, which I think is ridiculous to say is an extra. Recommended if you want a laugh from something NOT too heavy.

ham it up to great effect. John Malkovich adds some serious cool one liners; a natural comic actor in my books that`s unfortunately become typecast as the looney genius. It`s all tongue in cheek action and utterly brilliant.

Action and comedy continues
Excellent service. Package arrived on time and in excellent condition. Really enjoyed this sequel. Action and comedy are flowing as ever, plus extras. Well worth adding to your collection.

Good fun
I wanted to watch this based on my experience of watching the first movie. A good fun filled romp, not quite up to the standard of the original and indeed nothing in the script to challenge the skills of the actors. The action was fast and furious, good sound, though more could have been done to engage the rear channels of a 5-1 system. Sometimes the dialogue was a little lost in the mix and I found myself re winding to catch up missed plot lines. (Using a Pioneer digital amp into Focal Dome sub sat system)
