"I DONT RUN OR PLAY BASKETBALL WITHOUT THIS"
I have jumpers knee since one year ago, and this strap allows me to continue playing sports. I feel the difference when I wearing, this stabilizes and provides support on my knee.I use this strap 3 or 4 days in the week for running or play basketball. STAY in place, easy to put on-take off, dont pinch or pull while using, and the post-exercise pain is almost gone.Remenber it's not a MIRACLE CURE for any knee problem, but a good way of preventing, manage the pain, and continue playing sports.I buy this in Amazon warehouse for $6 bucks it's a BARGAIN,

Very grippy velcroWith the loop you run it thru, you can dial in as tight as needed - much preferred to the other brands that overlapChecks all the boxes!

Great - durable & fastens secure - BUT design changed as of 12/2013
I bought 2 of these knee straps last year (2012) and they have been great. I had tried the disappointing Mueller knee strap first but it's simple fastening design, combined with too little velco, kept it from holding securely -- it easily unfastened under moderate flexing. The Ace design, where both ends hold (with a lot of velcro), was much, much better. However, I just bought a third Ace knee strap (12/2013 - as a spare for a good price) and what I got doesn't match the picture currently displayed for this item (with a big, bright-red "Ace" label on the strap). The box I received shows the knee sporting the new strap which has a smaller, black Ace label. With the old design, one end fits through the other and both ends fasten to the strap with velcro. There also is an adjustable (velcro-fastened) "pad" at the front of the strap that presses the spot below the knee. The new design has one end that passes through a plastic D-ring, then wraps back to fasten with velcro. And the "pad" changed, it's not adjustable. . .but that probably isn't a problem (I never fooled with the "pad" anyways). The new strap is narrower, too, though that probably doesn't matter, the old strap was unusually wide. Otherwise, the new pad's quality of construction and finish seem equal to the old, which was very good -- My old ones have lasted more than a year with no apparent wear and tear. There are other brands of knee straps that fasten similarly, with one velcro-tipped end passed through a D-ring, and the design is probably effective compared to the failed Mueller design.--My concern with this new Ace design is that the velcro patch on the fastening end (about 1-3/8" long by 1") may be too small to hold reliably -- I just got the thing so don't know. I'll update as I gain experience with the new design. . .If it works as well as the old design, I would give it 5 Stars. The Seller's need to update their picture for this item.

Makes a BIG difference
I've been running with Ace knee straps (one for each knee) for over two years. Run 12-20 miles/week training for a couple 5Ks in the spring and two 1/2 marathons every fall. Simply stated: I cannot run without them! When I try, I wind up walking. I tried Mueller straps but they are not as adjustable as the Ace which has a small side tab that can be pulled to tighten the straps once they're Velcro'd together. With Ace, post-run knee pain has been almost non-existent. In addition, Ace straps feel soft against the skin; do not pinch or pull; and are easy to put on, take off. One of the best athletic investments I've ever made!

Really helped my knees
These straps are great! My knees were always really sore after playing volleyball. Due to all the jumping. Gave these a try and they really helped...much to my surprise. I hardly notice them under my volleyball knee pads. These are the newer/updated version. The older version with the red tag and the thicker cord did not work for volleyball. They still helped my knees from being sore. The issue with the original/older version was the cord was too thick to land on under my volleyball knee pads. The reason I mention it was when I was looking at reviews I've seen people mention both versions. I have not worn them much for running. Planning on using them this season while playing softball.

Awesome for knee pain while running!
I bought this strap as I've had pain in my left knee since I've increases my running mileage recently. It works great for the pain while running - I haven't had any so far and have had the strap for about 2 weeks. I do still have some knee pain when I'm not running but it's not quite as bad. I was concerned it wouldn't stay up and in place but no worries - I tighten it pretty snug and it never moves (only run between 3-4.5 miles so far each time). Definitely recommend for those with knee pain!
