## Description

Conventional lever corkscrews are notoriously large and cumbersome to use and store. This barwise compact lever corkscrew, however, packs all the power of a full-sized lever corkscrew in a clever, folding design. It's easy to use, removing corks with a simple lever action, and features twin integrated foil cutters and a non-stick screw thread, which glides smoothly into any cork. After use, the lever can be neatly folded away to allow for easy, compact storage.

Review: Learning curve ahead - This compact tool is well made and substantial in weight. The action is smooth and effective 97% of the time. The 3% rate is due to operator error which requires more effort to complete the job. The cutter blade takes some time to understand how to use it correctly but it works fine. The corkscrew action is easier to understand but learning how to use it properly is the thing. The tool must be positioned correctly on the bottle neck before closing it and applying the proper amount of hand gripping pressure. Doing this correctly centers the corkscrew over the cork before applying the uncorking lever. When I don’t do that correctly I have to repeat and the extra lever (corkscrew) attempts lead to a damaged cork. I think I’m passed the initial learning phase now but my guests are not so I always have keep an eye on them.

**Q: I cannot get it to bring the cork out. It does screw the corkscrew into the cork, but when it lifts out, the cork stays in the bottle. What's wrong?**
A: its possible not enough of the screw gets into the cork. try positioning the bottle higher up with the lever positioned at max open

**Q: So the first time I used it the lever arm just pooped off and now won't go back on... Anyone know what I should do?**
A: Is it completely broken off or is it in the out position. You have to press the buttons on the side to release it.

The product seemed to be of a high quality, and initially worked great. Then, one time, while trying to open a wine bottle, it simply broke down into pieces. I did not expect this from a high end Joseph Joseph product.
