Okay I admit it......WOW!!!
From day one sitting on this throne was awesome. Once I sat down I didn't even think about it. It didn't bother me so it didn't exist and that's exactly what I wanted . I wasn't having any backaches, my buns weren't sore, there was no wobble or creaking. For the first time in a long time I sat down and concentrated on playing. I read the reviews that some people didn't like the four legs, personally I like the extra sturdiness it makes a little bi bigger footprint but if that's the price I pay for having such a sturdy throne I have no issues with it whatsoever. My only regret is not having bought one sooner good job guys, five stars!!!!

Great Top, lousy base.
The seat top itself is great. The most comfortable seat out there. I can now say that with conviction because I've now tried the roc n soc seat top and this ahead one is way more comfortable. My issue however was with the base. One of the wing nuts suddenly started hitting one of the leg braces and I couldn't tighten the wing nut that secures the bottom half of the base. It was alwYs very close to the brace but then adjust my seat height one day it suddenly starting hitting it. I couldn't tighten but I was able to take the wing bolt out and then it would not go back in at all. It goes in about a millimeter and then even all my might it just stops. My advice is of you want a great comfortable seat that takes pressure off your back with the split seat, just by the top separately and use your own base from a different throne. Also I didn't like 4 legs, they got in the way more and I've never had an issue with three legs. 4 is over kill and causes more hassles than it's worth imo. All in all I still give it a generous 4 stars because it's my favorite seat I've ever had, if only they fix that base up.

Really comfortable & easy on my back.
This is very sturdy & stable. The screw post has a clamp & an additional set screw to completely immobilize it once the height is set. The seat also has a sturdy clamp to attach it to the screw post. There is absolutely no wobble from any of the components. The cushion is firm & comfortable, with a slightly raised portion at the back that adds to the stable feeling. I would have no problem sitting on this throne for hours at a time.

Supports longer practice times and good posture.
I love this stool. Not only is it very comfortable but I find it easier to maintain good posture while playing. And good posture is key when playing for a long time. Especially for older players and those who also have to sit in an office all day. I practice at least an hour and a half every day and I was starting to notice problems on my old stool. I did some research and decided on this one. Practice time is much more enjoyable now.I was concerned that the four legs would get in the way but they aren't a problem for me at all. I don't know if it is actually more stable, but just knowing the extra leg is there gives me more confidence. The build quality over all is nice too.

No more pain!
The Ahead Spinal-G throne works as advertised. Using the Roc-N-Soc Nitro throne, I had been having tailbone pain from a skiing accident when I was younger. Getting through a 3 hour gig was tough. But with the Ahead Spinal-G, the pain is gone. The channel in the middle takes the pressure off the tailbone and feels a bit like I'm floating on the seat. Glad I made the switch.

The most comfortable throne/stool I have ever sat on.
What a surprise this was. After using a couple of round mid price thrones that I could only suffer for about half hour before I had a sore posterior I can now play for as long as I like with not discomfort. This throne is a revelation, absolutely amazing. I cannot recommend this enough, it is worth every pence. I am seriously considering getting one for my piano too!

Fantastic Drum Throne!
Bought this item for my brass band as old drum stool was painful to use after a very short time! However, the new Ahead ASPG-BL Drum Throne was extremely comfortable to use and for long periods of time.It did just as described 'on the tin' (allowing the end of the spine to nestle between the two parts of the throne and avoiding compacting of the spine!I highly recommend this product!

Sensationelle Neuerung
