Really Cool Old-School Drive-In Theater Ads
This is a great DVD!! I watch it often, especially before our family sits down to watch a movie together. I have it playing in the background, to set the mood for "movie night". Now, if you're a Millennial, or have little tolerance for scratchy, blurry video images, you may hate this DVD. You see, these drive-in theater ads date from the 1950's and 1960's, for the most part. The original source films (for this DVD) have probably been shown on drive-in screens literally thousands of times over the decades. So of course they are scratchy, blurred, distorted, and worn out. These films have been through the ringer! But, to me, that only adds to the charm! These images SHOULD be distorted and scratchy and blurred! That's how they have always looked! I distinctly remember going to the drive-in with my high school buddies, back in 1979, and the ads looked crummy even then! After all, they had probably been playing almost continuously since the 50's! Anyway, this DVD is a wonderful and sentimental trip down memory lane. It brings back so many warmly nostalgic memories. But I must quickly add that by the late 70's, they were already beginning to phase-out these kinds of ads. In fact, by the mid-1980's, when I went to the drive-in, they had NO on-screen ads at all! The screen simply went dark between features. But I can't help but love the dancing hot dogs, the clowns announcing the "count-down clock", the greasy french fry ads, and the warnings to "leave the speaker on the post, before leaving the theater". I still well remember that my high school buds, way back when, would make fun of all these cheesy ads, and we would get a big laugh out of them -- probably because the food being advertised didn't look very inviting!! All in all, I enjoy the heck out of this DVD. So does my family. But you do have to take into account all the visual flaws that come with age. But if you're like me, and you actually went to the drive-in all those many years ago, then you no doubt feel an affectionate glow for these old-time ads. And if you have that kind of nostalgia, you will very much enjoy this DVD.

For those of you who like making 'programs' using the old snipes and trailers and ...
Most of the 'theatre ads' discs you see out there usually fall flat in the quality catagory. This one isn't exactly blu-ray/HD quality by any stretch, but it provides for an entertaining sitting. For those of you who like making 'programs' using the old snipes and trailers and ads presented, you'll def. find something here that will work for you. The quality is midrange, but it's still fun

Theatre And Drive-in Ads From Childhood
This was a great find for me. Takes me back to my childhood and teen years in the 70’s and 80’s. Candy, popcorn, soft drinks, coffee, and other treats were advertised on these ads sold at the concession stands. These ads even have a few random timers. A wonderful trip into my childhood!

Why can't we have fun like it used to be?
Fun stuff. When I used to go to drive-in, it was to "make out", or get "drunk and stoned" with pals. The intermission time was for us all to water the grass at back row where we use park.

The commercials on the DVD are terrible
I Disliked the entire product. Not worth it if it was free.

Third drive in intermission ad dvd by amazon online. Some intermissions ads are repeat of other dvds and some are ads that haven t been shown. A good pickup though. Buy it before its gone.

Description should specify some video looks great but IT IS NOT remastered or cleaned up & some of it is poor quality!
1 hour & 44 minutes. The description should specify that video and audio is not remastered or cleaned up & some of it is poor quality because of the source material. It should state they are as they found them & some ads have color issues and general bad quality picture and sound, but some ads look & sound great. I just wanted as many ads as I could get on one disc so I could watch them or just leave them on when doing other things. I had no problem playing it on new & old DVD players.
