$50 for a belt....I must be crazy!
My experience with belts over my lifetime has not been good. Plastic coating on cheap belts crack & peel or the buckle breaks or scores of other things go wrong. Solid leather belts are generally too wide & stiff and rarely look good with dress pants. I finally had enough & decided to bite the bullet and buy a Trakline belt. So far it's exceeded my expectations. Is it worth $50-$60? NOPE! It's definitely packaged to look good on the shelf of a high end men's clothing store. I hate paying for expensive packaging that is just going to end up in the trash can. They could easily cut the retail price by $10 by eliminating the nice heavy box & pouch the belt comes in.So why did I give this belt a 5 star rating if I feel it's overpriced? First, they appear to really care that their customers are happy with the belt. Second, the belt quality is the best I've experienced. It's 3 ply leather stitched together making it flexible yet durable. It's the right width to be worn with any type pants, dress to jeans. The price difference between their belts it in the buckle. The $50 models use a heavy duty zinc alloy buckle while the $60 models use a stainless steel buckle. I highly doubt there's more than $1 difference in manufacturing cost between the two. Which one will hold up better over the long run...only time will tell, but I'm guessing either will last 5+ years. They recommend that you cut the belt (yes, it's easy to cut) 4" longer than your waist size. So, if your waist is more than 40" go with the XL belt since there's no price difference. I cut mine 6" longer at first just to make sure I didn't cut too much off. Than I continued to cut small increments off until I felt comfortable that the tail was just the right length. The 1/4" ratchets are great, not too loose, not overly tight. My biggest concern is that in a medical emergency they may cut the belt off because they can't figure out how to remove it. Actually, removing the belt is very easy once you know how the ratchet lever works.Long story short..would I buy another one? Not right away at these prices, but if thus one still looks good in a year or two I definitely would buy another or put one on my Amazon wish list. Every men should own at least 1 high quality belt like this.Update 6/24/18...After just 14 months the leather split at the stitching, therefore I reduced my rating from 5 stars to 1 star. As much as I loved this belt, I’ve had $10 belts that lasted longer.

Long term review
Good belt while the spring engaging the ratchet worked. Wore it daily for work for over a year. 3 issues I had with it;1) the gun metal grey wore off2) occasionally the "teeth" section of the belt would come undone then I would have to eventually cut the belt to give the teeth some fresh belt to hold onto.3) the spring holding the ratchet eventually broke and no longer clicked and held it in place. All in all while it worked it was an excellent belt. I guess nothing last forever, I could order another buckle...

It is made of good quality leather
Do you have a waistline that changes every day, or even every hour? This is the belt for you!! It is made of good quality leather, and has a wide variety of buckles to choose from. The hardest part was figuring out how to put the buckle on the belt properly, we don't usually do that! Although the belt comes in one long length, if you know your waist size you can cut the belt with heavy shears to fit. Then comes the fun part. Put the belt on, run the end through the buckle, and zzzzzzip! Pull to the tightness you desire. No more "ugh, too loose", or "ahhh too tight"! You can adjust it by 1/8" increments for a perfect fit! There is a tab on the upper side that releases the belt, very easy.I'm a womans' 20, and the 42" belt is perfect in its uncut state. Husband and I both like this unique belt. Worth every penny!

Best Belt Ever!
This is the best belt I've ever owned. The ratchet mechanism is sturdy and allows for a very comfortable fit. The 1/4 inch adjustments are far more useful than the old system of a hole every inch or so. The value for the price is fantastic. I'll be adding another color to my collection and sending my old belts to Goodwill.

Worth the money over a regular Belt and the way the locking mechanism works it doesn't appear that it will wear the leather thin
Works as advertised. tons of adjustments slots and it doesn't slip at all. I goodwilled my other black belts. Worth the money over a regular Belt and the way the locking mechanism works it doesn't appear that it will wear the leather thin at that point like regular belt styles. Tons of adjustment so order a size anywhere near your own (go larger as you can cut it down)

The answer!!
This is a review on behalf of my husband because it's his belt, just FYI. But I had to come on and review because he's so impressed, he brags the thing up to anyone that'll listed. Being it is a ratcheting belt, if you're bloated one day and need it a little looser, you can make that happen. You know when you wear a belt with holes, it's never quite right? Yeah, problem solved. And it looks sleek. It's really an attractive accessory. If I can find a decent one in women's I'll certainly get one as well.

Always adjusts to where you need it.
Use it as my every day belt. Adjustable enough to accommodate IWB carry. Can always get it down to just the right tightness in either circumstance.I've stopped wearing my normal buckle belts and have ordered more colors and styles of these.Takes a bit to get used to the release. Also, really takes the guess work out of buying a belt as a gift as they basically come one size and you cut it to the length you need.

Great belt and worth the money
I own 2 Kore belts. Best one and worth the money. Bought a cheaper one from a different manufacturer and it didn’t work. This is now my go to belt. Will buy more when I feel it’s justified to spend $50 for another one. These are super comfortable. Will get one for my teenage son as he hates trying to use his buckle style belt.
