An excellent board that does what it advertises
An excellent board that does what it advertises. While understand why the designer chose to leave the on-board power supply unpopulated, it is too bad that a better solution could not have been implemented. Also, the documentation is a bit weak although the support from the user forums is quite good. It is working for me in my application and I am quite satisfied with the product. I would recommend it to anyone but be ready for some digging for all of the details - rely on the forums.

Just get a PCDuino
I like the Raspberry Pi and all, but I honestly recommend getting a PCDuino instead since the board has outputs that match an Arduino Uno (versus the Raspberry Pi only having general GPIO and requiring a separate add-on to have Arduino Uno compatibility). This board however is relatively nice, with an unpopulated power section that can be filled (at your own risk) and is easy to use - however first time set-up may be difficult.

It's a nice option for Arduino with Pi
It's a nice option for Arduino with Pi. Documentation is a bit sketchy but can be followed if one has a tech background. And board designer is available online.

Good So Far
Not easy to work with for me since I am more or less a beginner, still figuring it out but I like the real time clock and programming potential.

Gertduino is a great add-on to the Raspberry Pi
Works great. Be sure to check out some of the getting started guides on the net. Check out Gordons Projects as well. Seems to be able to use the shields I own which is just a few.

The building blocks of makers symbiotically combined
Hooking an Arduino to a Raspberry PI (with an extra AT Mega thrown in ... more power ... what can't you do ... muahahahahaha!
