(5 stars as long as you have a working switch on your product.) Bought as a "used" product from amazon warehouse deals. Product was complete, new in original packaging. HOWEVER, Clearly the reason it was in the warehouse for discount sale was because it was DEFECTIVE! The switch mechanism would not work. Would not hold in the "on" (cook) position when lever was pressed as it is suppose to & would pop right back to the warm position. However, fortunately I had the understanding & know how to make appropriate adjustments to fix magnetic switch lever & shortly had it working properly. Bought this product to replace my old non stick Aroma rice cooker which the coating was badly peeling off of and had a pot made from aluminum. Happily, found out that this new stainless steel pot was actually the same exact size pot & lid as my old cooker & fits in my old cooker as well! Which means my old steamer & lid & cooker are all usable parts still! I am taking a chance & buying another warehouse deal of these so that I can have another to use. I have wanted an extra pot to cook in while one is stored in the fridge & a second one would be great. I wish I had known about & had one of these years ago. I really like this product. It is simple but effective. You can cook as little as one cup of rice in it at a time or much more. I wanted a larger pot because I use it for far more than rice. It makes oatmeal quickly & so easily. Other uses include, pasta, potatoes, soups, vegetables, shrimp, hotdogs, etc... Anything you might put in a pot on the stove to boil, you can make in this cooker. The bonus is, if you happen to walk away because of a phone call or interruption & forget you are cooking, once the water boils off, the bottom of the pot warps slightly from the heat, pulling away from the magnetic switch & the cooker switch releases turning the cooker to warm mode. Therefore the bottom of the pots contents only browns slightly but does not burn. The stainless steel with just a slight browned food stuck to it is much easier to clean than stainless with burnt on food!! Plus, in the warm mode, I can slow cook soups & other things in the pot for a whole day or more. I just cover the lid a bit more w/ a towel to keep the heat in better for slow cooking. I was happy with my first rice cooker from Aroma & thought it was a great invention, only I wished it wasn't a nonstick coated aluminum pot. In all of my other cooking I only use steal & cast iron & was not happy to have to use aluminum & non stick coating because of all the characteristic problems as well as health concerns with those materials. I was happier to find they offer it with a stainless steel pot!! Same great cooker made even better!! Plus the stainless steel pot "should" last for years & years longer then the previous aluminum not stick pot. I recommend this product to all my friends.

Amazing rice cooker! One of the best kitchen gadgets we have. I used to cook rice on the stove (same brand as I now use in the rice cooker), and somehow this rice is so much better and fluffier. Stays hot for a long time! There’s less guess work and more efficiency with this cooker on the shelf helping in the background while I can focus on the rest of the meal. Compact and easy to clean! I throw everything (except the heat element) into the dishwasher. I tried making lentils in this with less success but I think that was just user error. I tend to just unplug after it’s done cooking so it doesn’t over cook or burn at the bottom on the “warm” setting, but that is because I only usually cook a cup or two. Would purchase again!

This AROMA Select Stainless 3-cup rice cooker is the perfect size for my needs, and it doesn’t take over our counter space. I’ve used another Aroma rice cooker for years with zero issues, so I already trusted the brand, but I chose this one because I’ve been moving toward stainless steel cookware and trying to reduce plastic and nonstick coatings like Teflon in my kitchen. Most importantly, it cooks rice the way it should. As an Asian person who’s very particular about rice texture, I’m picky about it being evenly cooked with the right bite, not mushy and not dry, and this one delivers. The price feels fair, and it’s a good value in my opinion because Aroma rice cookers are durable and tend to last a long time when you take care of them. If you want a reliable rice cooker in a practical size with a stainless option, this is an easy recommendation.

Great rice cooker. A good size for one person, but of course it can work for up to three people. Works perfectly and is well designed. Spatula feels good in the hand and is the appropriate size for the inner pot, so scooping works well. Nice! (Note: This model does not come with a steam tray.)

I am very happy to buy the stainless steel rice cooker. Thanks to Aroma company to make the stainless steel rice cooker which I was looking for years. Only wish they would made little more bigger in size . The rice cooker I am using since one month and it’s it’s excellent to make rice so far so good no complaints. No leaks. And it’s healthy to make and eat the in stainless steel then aluminum cooker which is coated inside once the coat comes out slowly and find you can see the aluminum which is bad for health . Stainless steel is best for making food and not harmful at all for health and now in my house every is of stainless steel to cook the food including the Aroma stainless steel Rice cooker . And it came in time and well packed. Thanks USA

I am so happy with this stainless steel rice cooker. It is super simple to use, and I love having the peace of mind that we can enjoy our meals completely free of harmful materials. We are a family of 5, and although this cooker is a bit on the smaller side, it is so easy to use that making rice every other day is no trouble at all. The small effort is completely rewarded by having perfect, fresh rice more often. Highly recommend!

Great rice cooker. I love the stainless steel bowl and after spraying with cooking spray I have no problem with sticking. I make quinoa and farro and barley in it as well as rice.

I honestly love this Aroma rice cooker. It’s super easy to use, cooks rice perfectly, and saves me so much time. I’ve used it multiple times a week for meal prep. Cleanup is easy too. Definitely worth the price.

Quality is surely pretty good but quantity of cooked rice is limited barely for two persons.

This cooker is advertised in the Dutch Amazon store but does not come with a plug that fits European outlets. It is an American plug.
