I started with natural white roots (about 1/2") with the rest of my hair at a level 10 platinum, which had been covered with a rose gold fashion color. The fashion color was very faded to a slight goldish tint that I wanted to cool down. I tried a purple shampoo on it, but my hair is so light that it actually picked up the purplish tone on the ends. Yuck, but using a detox shampoo washed out that putrid ashy-purplish color. So I knew I needed to use a toner that was not at all strong and would not stain. Manic Panic Virgin Snow (which is a light blue-purple) to the rescue! After shampooing my hair and letting it completely dry I scooped out the Virgin Snow and applied it to my hair, making sure every strand was well-coated. I left the it in for 25 minutes, then rinsed it out. The Manic Panic had entirely covered the pale-gold tone and my hair was blonde, but a bit on the ashy-grey side, so I know that next time I will leave Virgin Snow on for only about 12 minutes.Since the initial application I have washed my hair three times. It's a pretty blonde, although I think after the next (4th) shampoo it'll be just right. My biggest tip for getting the best use out of Manic Panic Virgin Snow: Your hair must be up to a FULL, entire level 10, very pale yellow, and needing only a bit of toning to make it a true white.

In order for this color to even remotely show up in your hair without bleaching it--you're going to HAVE to have naturally very, very light blond hair. Think platinum blond. Super light-ash blond.Things to note before even buying this hair color:--EVERYONE has different hair types. Everyone. Some people have hair that just soak up color fantastically and suffer little damage for it. Some people have really hard to dye hair. Some people have a mix of both. Some people's hair is so delicate you can't look at it sideways without it breaking. BEFORE you travel into the world of crazy hair colors: KNOW WHAT TYPE OF HAIR YOU HAVE. *ESPECIALLY* if you are not a hair professional/self coloring.--If you just want a fun tint to your hair, skip the next note I'm making...--If you want this to be OMG PINK!!11! and you have hair that is not naturally white/plat blond/very light ash blond, you're going to have to bleach. Either your whole head or the ends for dip dying or strips or whatever you want.--Bleaching on sensitive/fussy hair types can be EXTREMELY DAMAGING. It will be very bright the a) longer you leave it in and b) the lighter your hair is and c) the more absorbent/reactive your hair is to dye.It's easy to pastel-ize this without expensive add ins. You can make it a very light, light rose by only letting this sit 1-4 hours (again, depends on your hair. But if you leave it in shorter = lighter hair color. Use a small quarter size touch of conditioner and mix it in with the color to help make it much lighter.I left this in for 10+ hours after bleaching my hair. It did not harm my hair at all.Cons:As a medium/light brown haired girl, I HAD to bleach my hair for this to work. I used their 40 bleach kit in hopes of getting super light hair. I DID get super blond hair!....At my roots. My ends were brassy/yellow and I did not use a toner and thus, it was my OWN fault that the ends of my hair were barely pink while my roots where OMFGPINK!! When I re-bleach and re-dye my hair, I will apply this new lesson-learned by focusing the bleach (and eventually after bleach the dye), more thickly on my ends and thinner/less on roots.It gets everywhere. Eeeeeeeeeeverywhere. Put newspaper down on the floor, cover your bath tub/sinks/surfaces, wear clothes you don't care about.If you are impatient, in a rush, sloppy with applying it, do not section your hair and apply it correctly: you're gonna have a bad time. It's a very particular kind of dye that works best with people who either know what they are doing or are willing to put the time and effort to apply it correctly. (Or, if you are a professional.)If you use shampoos with sulfates, warm water, shampoo daily/every two days/three days etc, the dye and the color will fade super, super quick. Invest in a good dry shampoo and gird your loins for cold-as-you-can-stand shampooing to keep it looking fresh.TL:DR: Buy IT yes! Good color, yes! However, vegetable dyes/crazy color dyes take a LOT of work to dye properly and maintain. If you want to just slop it on and expect to have nice, brilliant hair for months without being careful about this: don't believe anyone who tells you having bright pink/green/red/yellow/purple/what-have-you unnatural hair color is EASY to maintain. It's not. <3

The color always comes out just as vibrant as I could ever dream! I get my hair bleached at the salon then dye it myself with manic panic. As the color fades I have fun with adding and trying different colors. Most importantly, this dye has never damaged my hair! If anything, it seems to keep it healthy! 😍

Overall, very pretty, very shiny color...saturation did not take on ANY areas that were not already incredibly porous including new root area which was freshly bleached to a 10, but still very healthy and undamaged leading to a hot root look. Overall I kind of love the look, the mids and ends that came out perfect 👌 I am thrilled, and I ordered an extra jar for a re tone of the root area which had to be kept on longer to fully saturate. So to get to the look shown I did 3 jars on whole head left on for 1.5 hrs. Then a second coat on the root/crown area, left on the 2nd day for another 1.5 hours, then rinsed, shampooed and conditioned with silver stiletto toning shampoo and conditioner and then hit with olaplex 8 mask for 15 minutes and rinsed in cool water, end result was a perfect, creamy silver and gold blond. I have been trying to get this combo for a few years now and this is as close to #GOALS as I think I can get...I am ordering another 4 jars to do a weekly tone before it's time to redo the roots again, and when I do I will leave the color on that root area much longer then the mids and ends and see if I can get it done in one full shot next time. (Used manic panic blue lightening for my root touch up this time and will use that again, as that really gave me hot white roots. ) Having said all that, TL/DR- great silver toner for a level 10 blonde, but it needs incubation time, 2 hours at least....3 hours may be the ultimate silver if you are looking for full on icy silver, but for what I wanted, 2 will likely be my sweet spot.

In the end this kind sticks better than most.You can put hair conditioner with it to make it lighter.

Pero definitivamente tienes que tomar en cuenta todo esto: A la hora de aplicar el tinte debes usar guantes, pero después pensarás que no tiene sentido alguno, ya que cuando te enjuagues el pelo, las manos se van a manchar exageradamente. No solo tus manos, sino tu regadera, o donde prefieras lavar tu pelo. Si decides lavarlo en la regadera como yo porque no tengo otra zona mejor para hacerlo, tus manos, espalda, piernas, pies, uñas! Etc. Van a teñirse de un tono rosa neón, porque este rojo esta hecho de rosa. Después tu toalla, tu ropa, los botes de crema que usas, tus frascos de skincare y todo lo que toques después de haberte enjuagado. Tus sábanas también! Y si abrazas a alguien pues también. Tu lugar del sillón y hasta la ropa interior, porque el pigmento te empapa y no se va tan fácil. Después pensarás que mañana te vuelves a lavar el pelo y será mejor, menos manchas, menos caos y menos drama. Pero NO! Será completamente igual o peor! Y hasta ahí llegué por ahora, una enjuagada después de teñirme, y una buena lavada de pelo con champú y acondicionador.Ya había usado Manic Panic pero en verde envy y no recuerdo este manchadero. Pero ya sabía cómo iba a ser esta experiencia de teñirme nuevamente con esta marca, y la verdad que con tanto caos hasta me he divertido. Hoy toda mi vida es rosa! Y no sé hasta cuando parará. Ayer estaba comiendo papitas con chile, y de repente me di cuenta de que también me estaba comiendo el tinte al chuparme los dedos. Supongo que eso no está bien.Ojo: Puedes lavar con cloro tu baño y se quita muy rápido y bien. A tus almohadas puedes vestirlas con playeras de algodón viejas y/o oscuras y no mancharás nada. Y puedes usar ropa negra o del tono de tu tinte. Es una aventura este tinte! No sé si lo usaría otra vez, y no sé si lo valga! Pero el tono era exactamente el que estaba buscando.*Sobre todo debes de tomar en cuenta que aunque sea vegano y cruelty free está hecho de muchos químicos que podrían generarte una reacción alérgica, así que recomiendo hacerte una prueba antes de teñir, y tener a la mano antihistamínicos por si acaso.

Vibrant colour in a short time on bleached hair

Love the color and mixes well with other dyes if u want a darker color very easy to work with as it is a think creamy base and doesn't stain skin like other manic panic colors .. would definitely buy again.. FYI u most have very light almost white hair for it to work will not show up in light blonde or dirty blonde hair

It's been at least 15 years since the last time I used this brand. I can say they really improved their formula. After applying it and rinsing for the first time, I was surprised it wasn't messy at all and the water was clear in seconds.I do recommend with the Mystic Heather to go to the lightest blonde you can, since it doesn't cover light brown/ orange brassy bleaching.Where my hair is the lightest the color is so vibrant, I love it.
