This was easy to install. Easily convertible to different gas type. Purchased 90 degree 3/8 NPT x 3/8 Flare fitting. Logs aligned easily. Rocks are a nice addition to the space.

After getting a crazy quote, this girl ran a gas line and installed this unit. I am happy with the heat output but the flames aren’t even close to what the listing shows. No difference in flames from setting 3 to the highest setting

The Logset deactivates following 10 minutes of operation due to the absence of a directional shield in the pilot system. This results in the pilot flame deviating from the sensor, subsequently leading to the shutdown of the main burner.Also manufacturer states that the logs that does not work in Colorado.

Our free-standing fireplace set was 25 years old and the gas control was failing. There were not many choices in our price range for 18" logs, so we ordered this set based on is price and description.1. This set would be more appropriate for a built-in fireplace or insert rather than a free-standing box: our box matched the minimum size requirements given; but in reality you will need to add at least 1 inch in depth to allow for gas line and fittings. The logs are very large and butt right up to the front screens. Also, the large logs take up too much space in a smaller fire box.2. The logs are so large that they hide most of the flames. The front log at least, needs to be about 2" lower.3. The BTU output is incredible. This log set will heat the entire front half of our house. However...4. The built-in "thermostat" is quite annoying. It does work - in that it tries to control the room temperature; but it does this by turning the logs completely off and on. All ambience of having a fire is lost when the logs go out. This could be corrected by simply turning the gas down to some minimum level to allow the flames to continue.5. And, since we installed this set in a fire box, the "thermostat" senses the box temperature instead of the room temperature.

I bought this fireplace after it reached -5 F on Christmas Day and my furnace wouldn't ignite. Turned out to be a broken thermostat. I have a smallish house built in 1920 and when I moved in, there was a ceramic gas fireplace insert in my fireplace, which the gas company closed off before they would turn on my gas. After the recent events, I bought the ventless gas fireplace logs. I bought this one. HOWEVER, the photo of a nice big flame is a LIE. In fact the instruction booklet states that the flame should never be more than four inches above the logs. The installer, who is a licensed HAVAC professional needed 2 days to install it, because it was so complex. There is no remote. It is difficult to turn on and off the pilot, so I just leave it on. Waiting to see my next gas bill. The only reason it does any good is because the installer added sheet metal to block what heat is put out, from going up the chimney. Save your time and money

Bought this for my granddaughters house for a house warming gift ( no pun intended ) she absolutely loves coming home and cuddling up with her dog. Very easy to install and adds value to the house. She has thanked me over and over!!
