VIOFO Circular Polarizing Lens CPL Filter for Use with A119M Pro, A119MINI2, A129 Plus Duo, A129 Pro Duo, A119 V3

I had originally wrote a different review that Amazon apparently did not like, but thankfully I figured out the issues I was having. My original review focused on the filter making the image blurry and having to deal with the rainbow circles like others on here. I have since figured out both issues. Starting with the blurry, there was a protective film on the inside of the lens that I somehow missed and I feel stupid for not noticing it immediately. Now the big one. The rainbow rings, at least for me, were caused by having the static sheet be partially in the camera's fov and the way light was diffused caused the ugly colors. Now that both issues are fixed this is a wonderful filter that really does help to reduce reflections from my dashboard and makes the image look nicer.

This polarized lens is a must-have if you’re using a VIOFO dash cam, especially during daytime driving. It noticeably reduces windshield glare and reflections, giving you clearer, more detailed video footage. It was quite easy to install the additional lens for the VIOFO Mini V1. The video quality doesn’t decrease during recording, but it can be a bit darker in low light conditions. While functional, it gets the job done and was easy to install by clipping it to the camera. Be aware that it offers good value if you want to reduce glare, but since the plastic is thin, those who may be clumsy might break it.

I have used a VIOFO dash cam for about a year now and this polarizing lens really makes a difference. It really cleans up the image. Spend the few bucks this cost. Otherwise you will look back and wish you did. Be sure to get the extreme duty Sd card since the cam is doing a considerable amount of writing. The lens cover is a quick and easy install.

Does slightly reduce glare from center console but this is dependant on your car. Easy to install, but costs a little much for such a small piece of glass

Great value. It greatly increases the visibility and image of an already good quality camera. It’s a small price to pay for even better video quality and glare reduction. Easy to install (follow the instructions carefully to avoid warping, breaking or smudging the lens). I only bought one for the front facing camera since the windshield is not tinted. If your windows have any sort of tint, the filter will create a rainbow effect.

I received an open box product. It was clearly used as I could see finger prints on the lens too
