Ella Tall Planter

I had a hard time finding a planter like this that was nice and not overpriced. I love it.

I have purchased several these planters over the years, and they've been worth every penny. They're durable, and I love the inner false bottom so they need not be filled completely with soil so they're able to be moved by myself. I have tried cheaper, thinner brands but they have all split from the weight. Highly recommend !!

I'm using it like a regular outdoor pot and it looks so good I added another one to my front stoop. I doubt it will ever break.

We purchased 4 of these to go in front of our house. We placed them between the windows and planted miniature pines that will grow to 5 feet. we took out the plugs and strainer and filled 1/4 with rock for drainage (they to have a single drainage hole) - then filled with a mixture of manure and potting soil. Now we will place lamps on the ground shooting up, either at the tree from the front or behind it. They are really sophisticated and very rugged - and much less expensive than any other options I looked at for this size. The neighbors are impressed. The only thing is that there is a shipping restriction so you can't order more than three at a time - So I ordered two and my husband ordered two - but only three came in boxes - one (missing all its guts - just came with a UPS lable stuck to it.) We should have ordered two to be delivered one day - and two to be delivered the next. I guess the boxes take up so much room on the truck that they have to limit the number to three. They were packed very well - except for the unpacked one, but it wasn't damaged. but missing its screen, etc... Half of our house is in shade - so we will be able to shift these around (with a hand truck) to even out their growth rate. They look fabulous - really. And are well made.

This planter is well made. Not too heavy, not too light. It appears to be made from a plastic resin which has had some stone powder added to make the plastic stiff. Very attractive "slate like" appearance. If I was buying this for use as a planter it would be perfect. The included drainage system in the bottom is a good idea. It arrived in perfect condition.Instead of a planter, I will use this upside down as a pedestal in my garden. I'll modify it to support a "mystical glass ball" which I plan to light from below with a color changing LED spotlight powered by my 12v landscape light system timed to go off and on automatically with darkness. I'm hoping for a cool, somewhat mystical look. Maybe I'll add photo later when completed.

I wanted something that was hip level for flowers at my front door. I put orange mums in them and they are really pretty. Only thing I would recommend is to buy filler--I tried filling one with just soil and I would've needed 1.5 bags of potting soil (large bags) just to get the plant to sit at the top...which is A. expensive and B. makes them VERY heavy. Good note -- we just had some kind of random autumn thunderstorm and they didn't budge.

The planters cost more than the actual plants. But they needed a deep base. They look absolutely beautiful.

Once again the item came with zero protection other than the box. BUT. These are tough planters because it arrived intact........ looks great with a False Aralia in it right next to my Budha statue and both hide the octopus of wires behind them

Absolutely amazing potential with these pots. Had them for over 2 years now and no fading what so ever. Definitely a gem to purchase.

The media could not be loaded.  This is the best planter that I’ve ever purchased. Plant stays moist and less watering needed. Looks modern and matches with everything. Very happy with my purchase.

It is a very nice planter however the photo looks more stone-like than actual product.However I am still satified with the purchase!I suggest planting a tall plant!

I have a Pony Tail Palm planted in the planter and it looks great. I have more in different colors coming. But I was shocked it arrived in one piece since it was barely protected; mind you, it arrived within 2 days of ordering so it was close.
