Cushion Spring Joy Womens Sandal

These are some of the most comfortable, versatile sandals I've ever owned - and I've owned A LOT! Living in Florida, flip flops aren't a fashion statement, they are a way of life. It's tough to find a pair that are comfortable when walking, work well around water and have a modicum of "fashion" to them. These sandals have been the best fit in all three categories for a single pair of shoes! I wore these for days on end, hours at a time walking through the streets of Key West with no pain or issues to my feet or back. Keep in mind, they are still flip flops, but for what they are, they are sturdy, supportive and extremely durable! I was both skeptical and supremely impressed. The wider strap and thicker sole helped cushion my feet and kept them from rubbing in all the wrong places with the miles of walking I did. I also wore them on the boat, around the pool and to the beach with great comfort and they did remarkably well in the wet environments. The treads were safe and secure on the slick surfaces and the footbed didn't get so wet that my foot slid around on top of the shoe. The only "issue" (I want to use that term very loosely, it's not an issue, it's a minor annoyance that did not impact the use or function of the product at all) that barely bears mentioning is that they developed a slight squeak until they were completely dried out. Once the water was all gone, so was the noise. I am so delighted with these sandals. I gave them a chance based on a great price and some pretty favorable reviews and I am sorry that I ever hesitated! I am a firm believer and highly recommend these to anyone and everyone who will listen!

I've worn this identical style of Reefs for 30 years and have only replaced them twice (this will be my 3rd pair). As you can see from the photo, the fabric of my old ones is sun faded and the tread is worn from miles of wear, but they're still functional (I still wear them to walk my dog). The point is, you will get way more than what you pay for these flops and they're worth every penny. Honestly, their durability is impressive for the level of abuse I put mine through. The only care they need is to wash them with a little dish soap before putting them away in the winter. They feel a little tight at first, but the fabric quickly relaxes after a day or two of walking, then stay comfy like that until you're ready to replace them in 10 years. I have freakishly high arches and achy ex-ballerina feet, and the foam of these is the perfect density so you don't feel every pebble you step on but it's still flexible so your foot has full range of motion (I hate when the foam is too stiff making you walk funny like you've got plywood attached to your toes). I can't recommend this brand and style enough. I will only wear Reefs and they can expect to see me in another decade for a fresh pair.

I love that these are sustainably made with recycled plastic bottles and that the packaging used recycled cardboard. I paid about $24 for the size 7 black sandals because of some amazon coupon but would have paid $30-$35 for the fact that these sandals are so eco-friendly. They’re very comfortable to wear and I haven’t noticed any black bleeding from the sandal to my foot, as noted in other reviews. I ordered a size 7 because of the recommendation from hundreds of reviews and I’m glad I did. My feet are 9.25” (23.5cm) heel to toe and I normally wear a EUR 36 (US 5.5-6.5) The label on these size 7’s says EUR 37.5 but they fit perfectly, so I can confirm that you should definitely order a size up. The other thing I noticed is that you can’t put them on hands-free. The strap seems to stick when you slide your foot into the flip flop so you have to use your hand to guide it on. I have normal-narrow width feet so this might be more difficult for someone with wider feet. If you have trouble bending down to help slip these on, then these might not be the sandals for you. This is not a big deal to me, so overall I’m happy with my purchase and will be keeping these. I just wanted to mention this in case it’s a dealbreaker for others. After living in San Diego for three years next to a pool this is the first pair of flip flops I’ve felt comfortable purchasing since I’m way too picky and indecisive for my own good. I’m glad I finally bought these sandals and hope they last longer than it took me to finally buy a pair. I’ll be sure to update this review if anything changes.

This particular style of Reef flip flops are my absolute favorite and almost impossible to find now!

My favorite brand of slaps! For decades I have called “flip flops” slaps because it’s the sound they make when you walk and only one syllable! Reef was the first and only brand of slaps/flip-flops I ever bought for years, and when I needed a light colored pair last Spring, I was thrilled to find these on Amazon for a good price! This style is a little thicker/taller, and has the wide band across your feet, and the most comfy toe divider of almost any brand! They are so comfy and the fabric bands have not stretched out at all, which is important to me with somewhat skinny feet. The style and color are perfect for any neutral outfits, and the support in the arch is awesome! I am tried and true size 8.5 in shoes/heels, but always get a 9 in my slaps, and they fit just right!

Overall, they were cute, but a little too narrow. It would’ve helped if they would’ve come in half sizes. The foot bed was soft, but perhaps too thick. Order up.
