Sony SRFHM55 Sports Walkman AM/FM Stereo Headphone Radio

Used this headset for years and Sony quit making them. Used the older version also, this pair was in excellent condition and I would recommend the product be available if possible brought back. Old school style headsets were great. Thank you to the seller for providing a great back then right now, really appreciated.

Everything worked fine for the first 45 days. Then the controls didn't work. We couldn't turn the device off. Only way was to remove batteries; then we had to re-program all the channels on the radio. After that, then the volume control didn't work.

I had one of these some years ago. It died an untimely death after falling to the garage floor and breaking. I had been using a different Sony product since then (several, actually) because this was no longer in production. My last Walkman of this over the head type died two weeks ago. It appears that no one makes this type of gadget (suitable for using while running) any more. My wife had been using a Sony S2 armband type for years and offered her spare. I could not stand the wires flopping around, the speakers stuck in my ear, the armband, or the belt clip (now that's me; wife likes those things). So I see these on Amazon, some even claiming to be new, with prices starting at expensive and going up to ridiculous. I bought from seller Music and Stuff who posted a honest description along with pictures, and priced at the low end of the range for the only one they had. It arrived in only 4 days, securely packaged for its 3,000 mile trip, and was exactly as described. I find this old tech Walkman to be perfect for running. Some reviews whine that it is too heavy. It is about the same weight as an adult sized cowboy hat. Some reviews complain about extraneous noise (rattles and such). Proper adjustment of both parts of the headband (over the head and behind the head) cures that. Your only concern with buying one of these used is really the integrity of the seller.

Through the wear and tear of wearing it every football game and sporting event that allowed FM radio broadcasting, it had broken last year at a football game and he pouted the rest of the game. He loved his headset, and there's nothing like it on the market anymore. It's all earbud stuff, and he's not a fan of earbuds. So I scanned the internet for the exact same headset because I felt so horrible to see my dad sad that he lost his radio (he's in his 50's).I looked on Ebay and those sites, but nothing was standing out. I looked on Amazon, and there it was, a good condition headset, the exact same one that was broken. I quickly pushed the purchase button, excited to be able to surpise my dad with the same headset he's always been using. The only thing was that the ear foams were missing, but my dad was okay with that, he'd just pull the foams off of the broken one. The glee he had on his face and in his eyes was worth the cost of spurging for his vintage headset.So thank you seller for being kind to sell your headset on Amazon. I'm grateful. So far he has used it a few times over the past few months.

Bought Used Very Good - Excellent Condition from Blue River Books and Bargains. Shipped very quickly & arrived in perfect condition. Got my original one of these as a gift & have used almost daily for ~ 25 years until it fell apart. Very comfortable & easy-to-use, with long battery life. Unless Sony puts this model back in production, I hope to buy another used one from Blue River Books and Bargains in ~ 2047! ;~) GREAT product & a pleasure doing business. A+++

I had an old Sony Walkman needed a new one, could not find one at any here in Columbus at the electronic stores. In fact no headset with earphones, with am, fm radio anywhere. I searched the WEB for a Sony headset with am, fm radio, found a refurbished one. It is great, like new cost quite a bit. Had to go to the Sony company to get instructions, I WAS ABLE TO DOWNLOAD THE INSTRUCTIONS. The headset has wonder reception , very clear, and quite powerful. Works fine.

Not as featured! Used yes, one side (right) never worked, on and off switch faulty, no ear pads! Contacted Amazon for return, representative informed me to not return and began process of refund. Rec. Notice of refund of $57.90 on 9-13-17. Still no refund to my Visa account on October 1, 2017! Note as most radio stations are high digitable now, the old walkman would not work as initially intended! This i have found out by contacting Sony...awaiting refund, any help you can provide me.....?

not able to use for the intended purpose, i wanted to use this walkman on my riding mower but the sound isn't loud enough. i installed new batteries and still the sound is not sufficient, might help if had ear pads on the unit
