I bought this item to replace the original Samsung remote which had stopped working after being dropped on a hard floor. The replacement has all the same buttons and features as the original and worked straight out of the box. It is lighter than the original and not quite the same quality of plastic, but it works perfectly which is all that really matters. And an original would cost around £33, so the replacement is very good value.

The on/off button had just about given up the ghost on my original remote so when looking around for a new one I saw this third party copy at a substantially lower price that a direct Samsung replacement.Initially I was sceptical, thinking that the lower price tag would mean an inferior item, but having used it for a few months now all I can say is it was a worthwhile purchase.OK the case is of a cheaper-feeling and more brittle plastic than the original remote, but you can't expect the same quality at this price point.The important thing is that all the buttons function in exactly the same way as the original and the build quality is good. It's only the case, the slightly lower weight (again down to the case I suspect) and the lack of a Samsung logo that distinguish it from the original remote.So if you're looking for a direct replacement for your Samsung remote and don't want to pay Samsung prices for it, this copy is well worth looking at.

I thought that the remote didn’t work and was prepared to return it for a refund. But, subsequently, it got it to work and therefore have nonneed to return it or for a refund so could you please cancel the refund order.

Exact copy of the original remote at a remarkable price. These remotes usually wear out after a while and it's good to know you can still get a replacement even though the TV in this case was nearly 10 years old.

This was rubbish, it is not a direct replacement for the Samsung BN59-00603A. It is cheaply made and the mapping is not correct. For instance, there is no way to get teletext on BB1 and BBC2 as nothing happens when you press the button. Some of the function buttons of the original handset are just not there and the power on off button fell off after a few days of useage. I put it in the drawer and fetched the old one out again. I won't bother to return it as it is not worth the hassle.
