Gives student and parents a false expectation of timing on the test
The prep tests in this book are 50 questions to be completed in 60 minutes. So my son and I though that he would have plenty of time on the real test. The real SCAT is two 20 minute segments with 50 questions each. Needless to say, my son was pretty surprised and unprepared. He could have performed much, much better if he knew to spend less time on each question, and now we need to retest. Thanks for a very expensive, very thin, inaccurate study guide. Don't buy this.

Not worth it. Paltry content.
Paltry content for the price. The best value was (assuming it's actually reflective of the real test) that it confirmed the type of questions:- for the verbal section: analogies- for the math section: Column A vs Column B problems ( which is greater, etc.).Otherwise, there were only 60 problems in each section which is paltry for price. Also, it did not specify what grades it was for.Better to buy, say, an ISEE book for the appropriate grade. They have more content and practice tests.

Many errors
This book would be okay if there weren’t sooo many errors. It is very clear that no one actually edited the questions in this book. If my 7 year old is picking up on errors, you have a serious problem.

Five Stars
I was looking for a practice SCAT test to time my son. My son worked through the book on his own. 120 total questions. We checked answers, and went over the missed questions together. Five stars.

This is the worst book that I have ever bought.
It is waste of money. It is not a book. It is a catalog.

Stay away from this!!!
I ordered this thinking is would be a perfect study guide from CTY. However, this is a mere problem set with 60 verbal and 60 quant questions and answers. No answer keys. No guide. You have better places to spend your $30.

Utterly failed to impart critical stool identification procedures
I came in with high hopes that this book would transform my field tracking experience. However, it is clear to me now that the author couldn’t differentiate leporid scat from a heap of rocks. Not a single reference to the cuboid formation of wombat excreta nor a mere mention of the seed to long fiber content of the ejecta of American black bears! It is clear to me I’ll need to find an alternative expert on scat.
