It's a little bit heavy but it hold my hair perfectly even with no hair tie. I have long hair and I use it when I pull it up . Try to put the most hair that you can to make it tight. The dragon is very pretty. I also use just the stick along and still hold my hair.

Was not packaged well, arrived smashed flat enough that the stick pin was stuck. Gentle bending of the Barrett restored the curve, problem solved! I am blessed with thick hair so this Barrett won’t hold all of my hair, but works well to pull the front of my hair back. Doesn’t slip, stayed in place all day without addition band. Cute!!!
