Excellent For CPAP Mouth Closure.
I use a CPAP machine and need to keep my mouth closed for it to function properly. Oddly, I do not snore when I sleep according to my wife, but sleeping test have shown I have dramatic breathing problems when I sleep. My CPAP machine tells me when the pressure is not correct. I used other cheaper chin straps that did not work or were not comfortable. [A chin strap came with the machine but was worthless and much too small IMO] This product, the Sleepsiesta, works much better than the others I have tried. It keeps my mouth closed and my CPAP machine reports excellent performance every night. This unit is very comfortable and once adjusted [easy to do, all Velcro closures] it stays where you put it so you just set it once then slip into it at night. The chin part is cushioned very well, and the overall comfort is excellent. I have not used it on a hot night yet, but it seems to be made with enough air circulation to conquer that problem. I hope.

Comfort vs. Function vs. Smell
First off the shipping was very fast. When I opened the box I got a strange chemical smell that only intensified when I opened the plastic bag. I read that it could be washed but I wanted to try the fit first. The fit was great but my face was on fire where the strapping made contact. I hand wash it twice before the smell lessened. I then decided to go with machine washing and then throwing it in the dryer with a dryer sheet. The smell is now gone and this is my second time using it with my CPAP. It no longer causes any skin issues with my face, so I’m happy with that. It’s easy to put on and definitely effective at keeping my mouth closed during the night. My only concern is that it may be too warm come summer but I will have to check back once it warms up. All in all, I am happy with my purchase.

The Very Best ‘Snore Strap’ I ever used in over 15 years
If you have used these before to keep your mouth closed while you sleep ( to help prevent snoring )then you shroud know this one is The very Best oneI have ever used. I have been using a various formsof these ‘snore strap’ types devices for many years, with varying degrees of sucess. This one is by Far the best one I have ever owned and I love it . I only wish I had found this one First 15 years ( or so ) ago. This one is Perfect , so well made ( as most really aren’t ) fits so well and is So Comfortable.Additionally, it does not slip off your head at night( because of its design ) as so many straps are inclined to do. I bought one , then after I got it and used it , I immediately bought (3) more , one for travel , and two for spares in case they stop making them ( which I sincerely hope they don’t ) If you knows these type of straps and use them , I Highly recommend this one as the very Best I ever used and owned in the last 15+ years - it gets a Full 5 Stars.

The most effective
I have tried and used at least eight different chin straps over 20 years. I am a mouth-breather and a chin strap is essential. NONE of the many straps I have used were comfortable, effective for more than a few months. Some stretch out. The edges frayed. The Velcro begin to loosen. And, most importantly, none were effective during the whole night in maintaining my goal of no mouth breathing. I have used this strap for two weeks and have not been awakened by leakage or discomfort. The fabric is soft and non-abrasive. Of course, longer usage may tell a different story but right now I am pleased with uninterrupted sleep and no need to constantly readjust.

Works, but not comfortable
I have tried a number of chin straps. I have yet to find one that works for me including this one. This one of all, works the best. However, at least for me, I found the strap difficult to put on comfortably. After two weeks of trying to use the strap, I stopped using it.

Not great.
Hard to put on. Doesn’t completely close my mouth.

Satisfied customer
I must admit I was skeptical at first in regard to using an anti-snoring strap of any kind after my bad experiences with other brands. My complaints were in regard to the black staining of the strap fabric onto my pillow case. Since the PrimeSiesta item has black edging on the white strap, I was skeptical. I would like to report after a week of use, I have ZERO staining on the pillow case. the strap works and fits as you would expect. What people might not realize is a properly fitted strap not only prevents snoring, but the increase moisture in the mouth and sinuses greatly helps with sinus and eye dryness, especially in the cold, dry climates. My messages to Luciano at PrimeSiesta were promptly answered and advice given as to other reports in regard to staining of the strap onto the pillow case. I am a satisfied customer and have since ordered a second strap so regular cleaning will provide me with a dry strap.I have given the product 4 stars only because I have only used it for a week. Time will tell if the fabric bleeds onto the pillow case with time. if it does not, I will update this review to 5 stars. One suggestion to PrimeSiesta would be to install WHITE edging onto their strap to lessen any chance of fabric bleeding onto the pillow case.
