Lisle 35400 Door Upholstery Remover

I bought this for door panels and interior trim work, and it has already earned a spot in my toolbox. The forked tip gets under upholstery and panel clips much better than using a flat screwdriver, and it gives good leverage to pop them loose with less effort. It helps make the job quicker and reduces the chances of scratching trim or damaging clips when used properly. The handle feels comfortable in the hand, and the tool itself feels sturdy enough for regular use. If you work on your own vehicles and pull panels more than once in a while, this is a simple tool that makes the job easier.

A must have for a mechanic's toolbox

This tool feels great in hand. Seems stiff enough for its intended purpose. But just can't state how great in hand it feels.

I bought a cheaper set of plastic tools from Ebay previously, and was disappointed by the quality of the plastic. When I saw this item on Amazon, I decided to give it a go. It arrived today, and within minutes I was using it to pry off several interior panels and trim pieces in my car. I bought these to access the window hand-crank assembly in my car, and this did the work with minimal effort and no damage to the panels. The tool itself is simple and of decent quality. Certainly well worth the modest price. If you want to lessen the chances of inadvertently scratching the paintwork on the inside of your door, you can put some masking tape onto the prongs to cushion it.

Purchased the 35350 Door Trim Remover along with the 35400 Door Upholstery Remover, was originally going to purchase only the Door Trim Remover but decided to purchase both. The 35400 offers a straighter shank which works well near seats and dashes which may pose clearance issues with the Door Trim Remover. The Door Upholstery Remover works well to slightly raise the edge of tight fitting trim panels to gain access to the fasteners. Both tools are well made offer good leverage, reach, and very rigid for the intended use, nice feel in the hand, and well made. As a added bonus the vendors on Amazon offered these tools at a lower price than they were listed on Ebay.

I have had a set of these for year. I purchased this one and there Lisle 35260 Plastic Fastener Remover for my son's Christmas present. They are good and solid that will last a life time. Do not expect them to work everywhere or on everything. Auto manufactures keep changing fasteners designs. I am a DYIer.
