the LED will show by color which sensor has tripped. Alarm only occurs when both sensors trip. The range and LED can be set through jumpers. I disabled the LED since by watching it, one could tell when to take a step without tripping the alarm. Slow, single steps with long steady pauses will get one past the detector without setting off the alarm!While this is supposed to be immune to 80 lbs, depending upon the thermal signature, my very small cat set it off. I have raised the angle and so far there have been no more false alarms.
