Appreciate the edu.
Great for adults too when you have school age kids that are interested in rocks, gems, crystals etc. Easy to read and gain knowledge. It's a small book with picrtures. Definitely packed with good information. I don't find it necessary to purchase another book unless the kids want to delve into deeper insight about their formationss.

Lovely book but unfortunately focus on American geology. Grandson still likes it.

This is a fairly clear book but it is based on North America. The maps certainly and much of the information possibly (I've not yet read it through) could be irrelevant.
