Moonlight Ocean (Lightbeam Books)

The media could not be loaded. My 5 year old and I love this book! I’ve included a video so you can see how it works. I do think it is appropriate for a preschool/early elementary aged child. For a young toddler, the tabs and page folds would probably be difficult to handle (and honestly easy to break. This book looks much more delicate than our others). You absolutely can see some of the scenes without the use of the flashlight, but it does still make for a very neat effect! Endless entertainment. The pages have great animal facts and then the scenes have lots of creatures to find. I’m so pleased with this book!

A great little book that children seem to like, the child can take active part in the story looking for sea creatures with the "flashlight"

Purchased this book for our 3 year old. He loved it! Interactive and fun!Down fall, would be I am not sure how long the magnifying piece and slot will hold up as he struggles to get his little fingers on it.Would highly recommend!

From the explanation of the book I expected a real flashlight which I could turn on for grandchild to find fish and animals. Luckily grandson could move the paper cardboard light himself and he loved it.

Any child will enjoy this book.

Ok. Based on the description, I wasn't sure how this book was going to work. But I still ordered it anyways because my 2.5 year old loves sea creatures and this book had great reviews.I'm including pictures, hopefully it'll be helpful who struggled visualizing this too. The "flashlight" is a white cardstock can be moved around the page to spotlight animals on the page. This is such a fun book for the kids! Some of the animals are a bit small and it's not always the clearest but my son still loves it and is always eager to look for the next creature. I've ordered the other book in this series!!

This is just what I wanted!! A "flashlight " is included inside each page and they move it to see pictures better. My class BEGS for these books!! Hello motivation!! 😁 keep making these please!! I'll be buying more!

The child I purchased this for absolutely loves this book! You do not have to worry about lights not working because these "lights" are on paper only. The concept is fun and interesting for the little ones.

Even though I had to exchange this book due to binding fail....the service was quick...the book itself is lovely and super fun...love it!
