No pattern
Somewhere on the internet I read that this book contains an actual paper pattern for transforming human sweaters to dog sweaters. The comment I read was a complaint that the pattern was printed on both sides of the paper requiring the pattern pieces needed to be xeroxed. Well, this book contains no "pattern." It has positive points for all the reasons presented in the other reviews. But, I am disappointed. I only bought it for the nonexistent pattern.

Good projects for little time
This book has darling knitting projects for all sorts of pets. I made a ruffled collar for my daughter's dog. Easy and fun. There are patterns for horse blankets, turtle tents, kitty toys and dog sweaters that you do not have to knit but are made of old "people" sweaters. You can knit a bird cage cover. I find that my daughter and her friends spend a lot of money for pet gear and so hand-making something is rather appealing. They are glad to get (almost expect) a gift for the dog or cat from each other. It doesn't take long to knit a dog collar and the ones in the book are certainly unique. One neat item is a purple knitted turtle with a removeable shell. Fun.

A Few Different Ideas
I was able to preview this book before buying it - it was the Hamster House that caught my eye! Something DIFFERENT! I've seen enough dog sweaters, horse or other pet blankets & pillows, that's all yadda, yadda, yadda. There are a couple of cute toys in here, but the Hamster House takes the cake! The book, itself, caught a lot of attention when I shared it with the knitting club I attend every week, the photos are very nicely done.

Cute
This is a very cute book with a lot of pet projects in it. I'm not sure that I'll make most of them (I'm not really into dressing my pets), but I'm already working on my second Mouse Mat. It's a super easy pattern that works up really quickly, and my cat--who normally doesn't like things intended for cats--absolutely loves it! Since his was a success, I'm knitting up a few more to give to cat-owning friends and family.

Wonderful projects for pet owners
Some really cute and different ideas in this book. Not your typical knitting book. You can make something for your dog, cat, turtle, horse, rabbit, parakeet and hamster. Wonderful photography and some nice charts in the back of the book. I really like the creativity of the authors Sally Muir and Joanna Osborne. I already own another of their knitting books and look forward to buying more of them.

Nice addition
This is a nice addition to my collection of "working" books. Some very nice projects; blanket, tent, many sweaters, collar add-ons. Well written directions, easy to follow.

Fabulous, I love this book!
Lots of great patterns and they cover all the bases -- from cats and dogs to turtles and other little critters. Anything that makes life better for our animal companions is wonderful, if you ask me. The patterns are fairly easy and practical. Overall, an excellent book!

A fabulous Book! Great for knitters who own or are owned :-D by Pets!
I absolutely LOVE this book! The picture on the front of the dog holding the knitted toy - The pattern for it is in the book! It is a Turtle, and it's a good shape and knitted in such a way that your dog doesnt feel the need to pull out the stuffing as soon as she/he is given it! - it knits up quickly too. I'm one of those knitters who gets bored easily, plain stockingnet stitch? bores me to death! it takes ages for me to knit it - yawn! so I usually have several items in different stages of being knitted all on the go at once! but something like this with a pattern and structure and texture to it - is my idea of knitting heaven - and my dogs think so too! (I have 5) as they are all getting at least one knitted accessory and toy out of this book! The items are sooo fast and Interesting to knit! as they have lots of texture are knitted in lovely scrumptious yarns (and if you do the dreaded tension square you can literally use wools from your stash too) they feel delicious when you see them appearing on your needles before your eyes as you knit you'll feel (like me) that you are in heaven too!. This book is just "Perfect for every knitter" - Experienced and new alike!. I recommend this book: Pet projects: Very aptly named "The animal knits bible" to Everyone 100%
