Seems to be good quality and does the job well
I would generally recommend this. I was a little skeptical about this considering the low cost, but honestly it;s a solid piece of gear. I've been using it for about half a year now for search and rescue on my Team Wendy helmet (over top of the Team Wendy helmet cover). It has done well in the 110 degree summer weather. I'll update the review if anything goes wrong in the snow and cold weather this winter but I don't expect any issues. The rear pocket holds weight perfectly fine and I have a 10,000mAh usb battery pack in it when I have an Aurora NVG mounted to the front of the helmet. The velcro straps going over the pocket opening do a great job keeping the battery pack in place while the shock cord keeps the usb cable from flapping about loose on the top of the helmet. The lower velcro loops can be adjusted in size and can be made to hold a glowstick, and the entire exterior surface of this thing is covered in velcro loop so there's a ton of area to attach other miscellaneous items. One downside to this helmet battery pouch I have found is that the top doesn't extend up far enough to fully cover the top velcro of the helmet, and as a result it causes an uneven surface for any velcro attachments like a Helstar or Manta strobe that you might want mounted on top. It hasn't caused a problem and my strobe has stayed firmly attached despite this, but it's just something to be aware of. If you absolutely have to have a rock solid flat surface right on the very top of your helmet then this product probably won't work for you.Note: in the pictures, I painted the Team Wendy helmet cover and this helmet battery pouch bright orange for search and rescue purposes. Orange is not an available color so I had to improvise. Most parts of the battery pouch did not take the paint well and as you can see it's flaking off. This is probably a good thing for everyone else as I imagine the helmet battery pouch would be fairly resistant to staining and discoloration. I was using fluorescent orange spraypaint and might try rit dye next.

Does pretty good
If it's for airsoft larping or something, yeah, it'll do the job. I bought this one and thought enough of it to buy another.

There's A Far Better Alternative Just One Click Away
I bought two of these (Multicam and Ranger Green). They're okay. For the price I guess you get your money's worth, but there were a number of disappointing things (especially the width of the battery compartment straps). So I initially thought "4 stars" in that you get a reasonably decent item for a very reasonable price. But then I found the "KRYDEX Tactical Helmet Pouch" (Amazon ASIN: B07WC7ZCRL). Roughly the same price (if not identical, depending on the color you pick), far better construction, and wider/nicer battery compartment straps. In other words, having bought two of each brand I wouldn't buy this Idogear one again. It's nice, but it's not nearly as nice as the Krydex edition. The latter is so much better as to push this item down one star.3 stars.

Good for hunters and airsoft
I’ve only had it a short time, I wish that the flap over what would be the counterweight/battery pouch were solid instead of straps, but it functions and is much more affordable for those of us larping on a budget. Stitching and fabric are solid, it’s fine for the light use I use it for. I wouldn’t trust it if your life depended on it but for hog hunting it is perfect.

Smaller than it looks
It looks smaller in personHowever, it's not that bad for the price

Great quality for the price.
Great quality for the price! I rate it at 4 stars instead of 5 because the spare battery loops are too small to fit AA batteries in. But very happy with it.

Fits but hard to find a weight
I bought this because I really liked the style of it, it fits my helmet perfectly with the velcro alone, but I'm having a hard time finding a weight to put inside the pouch. My night vision device weighs approx 1.5 pounds and batteries are not heavy enough to counter that weight. Any one have suggestions?

Pouch needs a flap, not two straps.
It fits my HHV helmet cover fine, but the counterweight pouch only has straps to close the pouch portion, which makes it more likely that batteries will fall out if you're having to move around vigorously, it at least lose any other weight you put in it. If it had a flap instead, I'd give it 5 stars.
