Great just what I needed a nice loud phone, very comfortable to hold, very easy to setup it as call blocking which is great, I am partly deaf and this phone is great for me, I don’t wear earring aids yet lol so happy with my purchase, my son likes it he is partly sighted and he likes the big buttons 👍❤️

Loud ring better for older people.
Quick delivery. Easy to set up. Just slightly complicated to use at first. Good answer function.

Easy to use
Arrived promptly, and easy to set up. For us, it was unplug the old phone from the socket and plug in the new one. It looks good too. Not over large, but easier to press the buttons. One more thing I will say, is that the front screen of the phone illuminates as the day progresses into evening which means I know exactly where the phone is and what time it is. Would definitely recommend this item. Why didn't we change our old phone before?

It's a good phone
I only tested the phone once. I thought the speaker was on the hand phone but it was on the base mabe ì just found it too complicated and did not set it up properly.

Good for those with poor eyesight and hearing with lots of control of functions.
Well designed for those with reduced sight and hearing. Lots of control of functions such as the different volumes. Large clear screen and keys. Fairly good set up and use instructions.

Easy setup
I bought the E560A for VOIP. It did come with a cable for the UK wall socket instead of the router, but I had an old RJ-11 to RJ-11 cable so I could then plug it into the broadband router. It worked immediately and the speech was clear. To add telephone numbers to the directory I must enter them manually. I do have a Gigaset for another line so I'll register one of its handset with this answerphone and transfer them. I could use the handset in one hand and dial - it is light and the batteries last well. The display is clear and the menus are mainly intuitive; I had to use the manual to find one option, the PIN for the base (answering machine).

Unimpressed!
Purchased item as replacement for very old landline phone. Handset and dock are as described online. Smart handset, clear display and easy to dock. However, instruction booklet bears no resemblance to actual procedure for input of instructions on how to use handset. Followed instructions to the letter, different functions came on display. So far, have been unable to access answer machine, no delays for allowing ringing before answer machine starts recording as advertised eg. advertises 10 second, 18 second, 30 second delays before recording - only 1 minute, 2 minutes,3 minutes available. Had to spend an afternoon trying to input necessary numbers - not as instructed but found a way purely by accident.Still trying to make it work before contacting manufacturer. Very disappointed.

Nur GB-Netzteil enthalten
Sicher ein schönes Telefon, da es aber nur ein GB-Netzteil hat und keines für EU-Anschlüsse, konnten wir es nicht im Detail testen und haben es zurück über den Teich geschickt.

Quite functional but difficult to understand all the functions and takes a while to setup
I purchased this device to replace an aging E500A where the Ni-Cd batteries were no longer holding charge and finding it difficult to find replacement batteries. The E560A is very similar to the E500A, so I did not have a lot of difficulty setting it up, or using it, but for novices the initial setup can take a long time understanding all the functions and setting them up.One of the issues is an annoying red stripe down the middle of the screen on the handset and a white stripe beside the lit number on the base, however the manual doesn't seem to mention that these are overlays that can be peeled off with some difficulty. The white stripe is only a thin stripe, so don't try removing a non-existent transparent overlay too.The main difference between the two units is the display, which I believe is an LCD on the E500A but something different on the E560A. On the E500A, you can dimly see the display even when it isn't illuminated, making it easy to see the battery status, time and other display elements, whilst on the E560A it is completely black and only displays when you activate it or it receives a message. The E560A can be setup to illuminate the display constantly or to turn off after a non-configurable time period, separately for when the handset is in the base or not, however there doesn't appear to be an adjustment for the display brightness: the display does dim from full brightness for a short period before going dark. There is a flashing red led on the left-most option button on the handset of the E560A to indicate the existence of missed calls or messages, when the display is dark.Overall, this is a worthy successor to the E500A with a few minor changes and hopefully the Ni-MH batteries will be more easily replaceable in the future than the Ni-Cd batteries that were replaced. However, Amazon's photos of the handset are deceptive: the display is all-white in idle instead of the answer machine and battery icons being orange and the transmitter, menu and message icons being green in the photo (unless there is a way to change the idle display to colour that I haven't found) and only the time being white. I quite like the pictured distinction between the elements using colour and wish there was an option to have that instead of every icon white. It is a colour display as other indications can have colour elements, but the idle display is all white only, so it isn't much different from the AS690A.
