RICHARD'S Cajun Style Roux 16 Ounce Jar

um um good! Makes great gumbo and prob. other cajun cooking goodies. So easy to use. Didn't have to burn my roux, as usual. This is dark so may be too much for etouffe. Will let you you know soon.

This roux is quite powerful stuff and it worked wonders flavoring and thickening gumbo then, a few days later, enriching and en-deliciousing the Thanksgiving turkey gravy. I expect it to keep a long while in the frig as I judiciously dole it out for soups and more gravies.

Why? I know now the product very well but shipping, the actual product in Louisiana is under $4

I'd absolutely suggest this to a friend, and I'll buy again! Tastes good! The only drawback is, it's a little hard to stir, but it beats the heck out of standing at the stove for hours.

I bought this so I could make gumbo without having to make a roux. I am really happy with my purchase. Saves a lot of time and it thickens my gumbo well. Will definitely buy this again. Thank you!

I usually make my roux from scratch but decided to give this a try. The jar I received head separated and all the oil was it the top and the rest turned into a hard lump at the bottom. I tried my best to mix it back together, but the product was almost rock hard. I used what little I could get mixed together. It had a burnt taste to it. I won't be buying this again. That is my experience with the product, other jars may be different.

I love love love this product I'm a Louisiana girl and I can make my own roux but when I'm lazy this roux is perfect😊❤its delicious!
