A must have for GM transfer case
Definitely works in addition to some epoxy too repair the GM-263 transfer case pump rub leak or install this before a leak develops for a preventative approach. Works great, easily doable by the general DIYer. Installed successfully in a 2007 2500HD Classic, way cheaper & easier to install than a new case.

I think it's a great idea. I would say easy to install because you have the transfer case already apart to replace or repair the housing. Install went smoothly. Time will tell the final outcome but I have no doubts it's a good repair.

Cheap and permanent. Should do it even if yours is not leaking yet
When I found this pinhole in my transfer case, I figured this plate would be the best way to fix it. Worst thing is taking the transfer case out. Put a little JB Weld over the hole before you reassemble everything to make sure it doesn’t get too much inside. Works great! Thanks Amazon!

This part worked great to fix a pin hole in the transfer case on a 2004 Avalanche With only 94,000 miles. What a horrible design on General Motors part and what a simple cost affective solution this part is. I used a little JB weld epoxy on the wear point to fix the pin hole and reassembled with this part. Leak gone!

You can't afford not to!
Simplicity itself. I used this Case Saver to head off trouble on my 2002 Yukon XL. The case was in near perfect condition and wanted to keep it that way. The tiny "protective" clip that was originally installed was ready to pop-out. The Case Saver is a great solution to an inherently poor design.

Good deal it appears.
GM should have used these in all their transmissions. Inexpensive and I suspect it will prevent pump rub for the life of my truck now. I had to replace the case half as well. It was burned through in two spots and two other places were worn pretty thin.

Part fit as advertised and hopefully prevented an expensive repair later.
Parts fit as they were supposed to. This part is hopefully going to prevent damage to the case in the future due to a poor design in the original. Easy to install if you know how to remove the transfer case from the truck and split the case. If not have it done by a pro.
