Great for SNES Classic when you also get adapter!
I'm using this with my SNES Classic Edition via the Hyperkin SNES to SNES Classic Adapter -- Works flawlessly! The joystick controller is well made with a metal base and responsive stick and buttons with good bounce back. I'm going to order a second one. This is the real deal, and I've experience zero lag. FYI: on the option menu in Super Street Fighter II you can set up the buttons to your preference; I did so and created a save state so that every time I launch Street Fighter the buttons are exactly how I want them. I couldn't be more happy with this setup. Controller has the perfect button layout for Super Punch-Out, and is also really fun on Star Fox 1 & 2, and even surprisingly great on games like Donkey Kong Country and Castlevania IV.

Mayflash SNES-to-Wii adapter + SNES Classic works perfectly for me! See details!
Seems most people are using this with a real SNES or using USB and an emulator. I too used this stick when I was much younger and it brings me back... somehow the stick seems smaller than I remember it... could be me. In any case, I'm using this with a Mayflash adapter and am using it with my SNES classic. It works perfectly. Now I cannot guarantee this will work perfectly with a stock SNES classic as mine has been hacked for more games using Hakchi and as I recall, the Hakchi mods have made more controllers compatible with the NES classic so maybe that is a factor. (I have another which is not modified so I may try that later) But it definitely works in my configuration and I highly recommend it for anyone interested in reliving those old days!Update: Tested on unmodified SNES Classic mini. Works 100% Very good combination. So sad that EMiO didn't step up to make a version of the Super Advantage. I wonder if Ascii is still making this stick? And if so, why not make a version with native Wii/NESC/SNESC connector?

Good controller, odd button layout
First of all, this fight stick is likely to be old stock. Mine was dusty and had a notable musty smell about it, even though it was still new in box.The buttons and stick are responsive and spring back when pressed. The device has a good heft to it, with a comforting weight that holds it in place on the tray in front of you. But there is one significant issue with this controller.Arcade-style fight sticks from this era are all designed to play Street Fighter II, which was the #1 game in the world at the time. On the SNES, the default punch buttons are Y, X, L and the kicks are B, A, R. In that order. Most arcade sticks of the era placed those buttons in that order, with the punches set as the row above the kicks. This controller has a top row of L, X, R and a bottom row of Y, B, A.People used to using a traditional controller are going to struggle with this layout., as it's very non-intuitive. Especially as many games of the era didn't allow you to re-assign buttons in the game.If I weren't using this on a Retron 5 which allows me to re-assign buttons, I'd be super-frustrated with this layout. If I were using it on an actual SNES, I'd also be super-frustrated.

A great lil' stick!
This is a great stick!Small enough to fit on your desktop while you play emulators, heavy enough to stay in place & precise movements.I use mine, I now have 2, with the SmartJoy snes converter connected to my USB port. This is a lot of good stick for the money!EDIT:I just purchased my 3rd ASCIIWARE Fighter Stick. These are so inexpensive & so great for casual gaming.I own 5 DC Green Goblins ( dont ask...), 1 HORI Real Arcade Pro 2, 4 Pelicans (again, dont ask...) & all sorts of Nintendo & Super Nintendo & N64 hand controls & sticks (ive been collecting Nintendo Sticks) with all types of converters, but this Fighting Stick works consistently with more games & consoles.

Ascii ware fighter stick SNES
Don't worry about quality, this thing is the real deal. I bought it (2010), I own it, it works really well and I'm glad I got it. If you are thinking about it pull the trigger, you won't be sorry. It works perfectly with the SNES, zero problems at all. Some knock-off brand controllers are horrible but this one is just quality made, that's all there is to it. I want one more. The guy who wrote the other review is on the money.

Still works great
These are awesome! I also have a SNES to USB adapter to play newer games like Super Street Fighter IV with this, and it works just as an arcade pad should. Solid construction, quality buttons, and a smooth 8-direction control stick. I've never used the turbo/auto switches, but they're there if you need them. I bought two of these.

Awesome!
This works on my FC Twin NES/SNES Console... I bought this to play the old arcade games that are really made to be played with a joystick . Works great with Ms Pacman, Donkey Kong and Burgertime..
