Welp, you're not gonna forget that it's there, that's for sure. Not the most comfortable option on the market, largely due to the channel that accommodates the takedown lever from the point of insertion, down to the point that it rests instead of providing a space just wide enough to accommodate the design of the lever on the pistol - in this case, a full size original Springfield XD-M 9mm. That said, the channel allows for a smooth draw. Thanks to the provided lockdown screw, there's no perceived loss in retention because of it. Not until that screw starts backing out, anyway. Thread locker is definitely recommended.Discomfort is most notable carrying on the hip in the factory position of the clasp, but a great deal of it can be relieved by adjusting the configuration of the cant to a forward rake, which is typically how I carry anyway. Which bring us to my next point - You'll often see reviewers recommending the implementation of the wing holster claw feature they sell separately. I can see how it would be an excellent addition with the holster in its default position. But if you carry like I do on the hip with a forward rake, the claw reaches its design limitation, as the contact point of the claw now protrudes well above the belt line regardless of how you configure it, taking its intended function away, entirely.Ultimately, it carries well with a good, rigid belt. Fitment is excellent. Not slop anywhere, and no adjustment is necessary on the hip between standing and transitioning into your vehicle, to driving. For everything I have against the comfort aspect, I can understand the confusion with my four star rating. But they nailed the forward cant right in my sweet spot. Hand falls right in place every time. Have I used more comfortable options? Sure - at an order of magnitude the price with an asinine wait time on delivery. It holds and fits well, and honestly, it's been difficult finding a decent option for a discontinued platform such as mine. I'm glad that they could provide. And if they undergo a revision with comfort for the IWB in mind, I'll snag another one.

So the holster is comfortable to carry IWB. Retention is good, no worries about coming out of holster. So I carry a Ruger Max 9 and the only thing I would change on the holster is that the holster does not cover all of the mag release so it rust up a lot from sweat from carrying it all day. Overall I would buy this product again.

Not sure what the issue was but the Retention was way too tight. Even adjusting the retention wasn’t helping out. I did return it :/. Sad because the quality of the holster felt really nice. Yes I still rated it 4 out of 5 lol

I purchased this for my FNX. I did not notice the note that this holster did not fit the FNX-40. I was going to return it but after using a heat gun this holster fits the FNX-40 perfectly.

excellent build quality, but i found it extremely uncomfortable. should have gone another direction to get something more comfortable. there's another holster i've purchased from amazon and though it's uglier and looks clunkier, it's far more comfortable. this one has so many ridges and contours and angles it doesn't feel good on my hip. this one's a backup holster in case i or my wife need it, but i wish i'd spent 5 more bucks and just gotten another of the ones i already knew worked and was comfy. again, seems like great build quality, but man, just ain't comfy. so i'm considering returning it, but probably won't since it's only for backup anyway. a little disappointed.

I like the actual holster. My only complaint is the bulky clip they use, which prints more than anything else. I replaced it with a low profile metal one. I they should consider this as an option or frankly as standard.

This is the best purchase I’ve made for my first firearm and can’t complain about anything it’s comfortable stays in place doesn’t move as much as I thought also suggest the claw it does help out but everyone has there preferences but overall will purchase again 👍🏼

The holster fits well, even being a bigger guy, with a full size handgun. I barely notice it at all. One downside, however, if you have an optic that's longer than a Romeo 1 Pro or a Delta Point Pro the handgun may not fit all the way, and may require some minor clearancing. Other than that the fit and finish is fantastic.
