They work great for my radio projects.
I had a problem with first two would not address the PC. Tried two cables. They were kind enough to send two more for replacement. They did not work. Started to check the cables. Data lines were open? I knew they worked before. As I checked the cables, I noticed little holes down by the USB plug. I have two cats. They must of chewed through the cable cutting the small wires. So I owe the company for two modules that work now with new cables. Sorry. I should have check this when they were not working. Amazon can you take care of getting them paid?

Worked as advertised
These are great for the money. They are easy to program and the audio quality is good but given the small speaker, not great. However, good enough for small animation and fun projects.

Small and easy to use.
I wanted this one to make a sound glove for a costume. It is really small and easy to hide so it works great. The speaker is small and the volume is not high so I just cut the wires and add a 3.5 plug, then connected it to am amplifier. It works just great.

Finally got the 3 button issue resolved on Mac! Finder is terrible!
UPDATE: Finder is a finecky sonofagun, it turns out there are STILL hidden files that I can find with terminal "ls -a" that aren't showing up in the Finder view. Can confirm I've resolved the dreaded 3 button press issue, you'll need to go into Terminal to resolve this though: Open a new Terminal > cd /Volumes/NO\ NAME echo "Check for hidden files" > ls -a At this point you should see something similar to what I have in the screenshot. Now it's just a matter of removing them! Assuming they have the same naming I have with leading "_" and .mp3: > find . -maxdepth 1 -type f -name '._*.mp3' -delete Check that they're gone > ls -a I've checked for hidden files, converted to the recommended Mono, 128kpbs, 44.1kHz, 16 bit, but still have nothing. For ease of reference sharing some CLI I used for converting files en masse (Audacity's nice, but still requires you to convert each file one by one). Other than that excited for the talking bobblehead this will help achieve 🙂 brew install ffmpeg mkdir converted for f in *.mp3; do ffmpeg -i "$f" -ac 1 -ar 44100 -b:a 128k -sample_fmt s16 "converted/${f%.mp3}_mono.mp3" done

Poor quality and bad design
Push button fell out as soon I took it out of the packing. Fortunately I was able to repair by soldering it back on. Worked fine and played demo sound without issue. Plugged it into my PC and got recognized instantly. Deleted the demo sound and added a custom sound mp3 which was close to 500k. Unplugged from my PC and device stopped working. Loaded sound would not play from the device. Tried plugging it back into my PC (with the same USB cable I used to load the sound) and the device was no longer recognized and the speaker immediately began making a clicking noise (see video). The device no longer shows in File Explorer, Device Manager (even with View Hidden on), or Disc Management. I suspect the memory got corrupted during loading of the new file or when I disconnected the device. There is absolutely no way to recover and reformat that I've found. VERY disappointed.

Pretty happy with purchase
I was pretty happy with this product - I am using it to make a Christmas ornament for my son; every time you press the button it will play the next sound clip of him as a child. Note that I removed the provided battery pack because of weight/size and replaced it with a CR2 battery - I've been able to run it at 2.7-3v and it draws around 50-80ma. I've run it at least an hour like that so it looks like this is a good way to save weight. I was happy with the sound quality on the speaker and the volume.

Tricky to setup but great once its programed (see secret sauce below)
This unit supports multiple audio clips. Each press of the button moves you to the next clip. If you have hidden files such as with OSX (Mac) and it's hidden "._xxxxxxx.mp3" files, those will be silent clips and require an extra press of the button to skip (several complaints of double or twice click being required). Delete all mp3 files that are hidden before you eject the usb device. Audacity is perfect for getting the required format of: MONO, 44kHz, 16 bit, and 128 kbps. Operation is flawless with those considerations.

Was amazing till they switched boards
I’ve been using these for years to make animatronic Chucky dolls. I would usually activate them with a remote through a Aux on/off switch connected to a transmitter. Never had any issues till recently. They have since switched the pcb board and now everytime I connect them the board stops working. At first I thought it was a bad board so I ordered a new one and same thing happened. The one board isnt even recognized when plugging into usb anymore. Not sure what they did when they made these new boards but it’s a total bummer. Now I have two worthless boards. Hopefully they decide to switch back or fix it in the future. Until then I have try and find an alternative.

A Brilliant Little Sound Card.
This is a brilliant little sound card which I bought to provide creaking door sound effects for Halloween. With a PC and the right USB cable it's s very easy to load up your MP3 sound file. I substituted a magnetic switch for the one supplied, which I attached to the front door and frame and stuck the device with speaker, which are provided with an adhesive backing, and the battery box to the inside of the door. When the door was opened slowly it was accompanied by the creaking sound. Despite its small size the speaker delivered a surprisingly loud effect and the sound quality was excellent. The device reset when the door was closed. Can think of many other ways this could be used and triggered. Very pleased.
