The Pilgrim's Progress: Study Guide Paperback – 1 May 1994

As others have stated, this is helpful and "meaty." My only complaint is that it doesn't cover Part 2 of Christiana's journey. If Part 1 was this richly covered, I'd love to see the study guide for the second part which is a bit richer in nature.

We used Maureen Bradley's book as a study guide in our Women's Bible Study. The commentary is excellent with lots of interesting historical detail. She brings in the writings various Puritans and shares other writers thoughts about Pilgrim's Progress. The questions are not your typical "dumb" study guide questions. They are probing, get to the heart of Bunyan's message and prompt great discussions. I can't recommend this study guide enough and I highly recommend it for individual or group use.

I'm leading a long-term study of Pilgrim's Progress and was seeking a supplemental source of discussion materials that were specific to the allegory, not just over-all questions on the entirety of the piece. Bradley's book offers a nice selection of questions that provoke thought or discussion. It's a thin volume, but it's meaty. My only criticism of it is one aimed at the book designer: the print seems to be a gray ink on a white paper. It's an artsy thing, but it makes the book harder to read than it needs to be. There is a reason that the standard is black on white.

I really like this study guide for Pilgrims Progress. It makes everything in the book clearer.
