This Olive oil is an original and unadulterated one made from fresh olives, authenticity and quality of an olive oil as defined by standard research institutes is felt by few things 1) the bitterness when we take it in the mouth and 2) when it goes down our throat we feel a kind of irritation in the throat. The bitterness will be there only if the Olive oil has been extracted using fresh olives, if the olives were old or of sub standard quality then the bitterness will not be there in the olive oil and the bit of irritation in the throat will be due to the presence of antioxidants present in the olive oil and these antioxidants will be present again only if the Olive oil has been extracted using fresh olives and Antioxidants are very beneficial for the body.... This Colvita Olive oil contains both these important testing factors, I have tried the Borges Olive Oil too but I have not found both these qualities in the Borges one, after study I tried the Colvita Olive oil and it was a treat..... This is my second bottle and I like it completely.The price of this bottle is bit costly when compared to other olive oils available but quality does come at a price and when we are having a product like Olive oil we intend to get the benefits of it and if the benefits are lacking in the less costlier ones then they wouldn't give any benefit to the body. As for consuming, FDA, the premier agency of the US has advised having two tea spoons daily (5ml + 5ml), taking more than that wouldn't give any added benefit. I consume it directly by putting the same in the spoon and drinking it. This Olive Oil is highly recommended.

ON TIME DELIVERY

I like all the healthy aspects of this oil (like organic and cold pressed) but I like the taste of Borges extra virgin olive oil. Couldn't feel anything special in the taste of this oil. It is bland for me. Not even bitter.

Just take a spoonful and first enjoy the smell (take your time doing it; everything else can wait). It is loaded with great flavor of olives, tastes slightly bitter, aromatic, awesomely tasty and it delivers a peppery/prickly kick back of the mouth when you taste it. Antioxidants in the oil is responsible for delivering that friendly kick. Just love it. It is a bit pricey, but if you compare the health benefits it offers then it is easily priceless. We use it extensively in Salads, Italian foods and just take 1 tablespoon in the morning and night for its health benefits: fights inflammation, protects heart and kidney health, elevates moods,drastically improves energy levels, great for people suffering from IBS/stomach disorder, good for vision and tons of cognitive benefits too. We can use EVOO for Indian cooking too other than deep frying. We tried it as a side dip during a Pizza party at our house and the pizza tasted yum (just add freshly crushed pepper powder) !! Good job Colavita and Amazon. Excellent product in a glass bottle delivered safety and swiftly by Amazon. And yes, I will buy it forever....

It was 1 year after manufacturing date. So taste is not sharp.

Yes iam using for my hair the extra virgin olive oil and it is very very good helps to strong and give smooth hair it reduces dandruff and helps to grow hair, iam using it for more than a week and it help me to smoothing and cleaning complete dandruff of my scalp and ya iam happy and ofcourse it is costly and packaging was so nice really good package love it and remember one thing that the extra vergin olive oil is actually very costly so if you buying low cost of extra vergin olive oil it will give you a little benefit of oil ok it will not give you a fully benefits there are so many so many products are available in the market by labeling extra vergin trust me it is not good one ok and iam recommending to all this product very very nice

The bottle's seal and cap both were visibly tampered with. It'sa very expensive oil and as a customer I expect it to arrive with the originally packed seal and cap assuring of no quality compromise . But clearly that hasn't happened and Amazon has NO RETURN POLICY on the product!!!! It's absolutely ridiculous that my hard earned money is going to waste on a product that may not even be original in the first place.

Quality, aroma and flavor is upto the mark. Really liked the product for raw consumption.
