Easy to install! Way cheaper than box stores

The Schluter Ditra floor heating system really works! I was a bit skeptical at first as to how much it would heat thick bathroom floor tile but it really does well and is quick (turned it on and within 10min I could start to feel the floor warming.) Not hard to install and Schluter has extremely comprehensive instructions both text/pic and video. Really not that expensive either. Would recommend.

The installation of the heating coil along with the rest of the system was incredibly easy with great detailed and step-by-step instructions. I had no problems or concerns with the installation.I want piece of advice is to measure twice and order once. You cannot cut or alter this product and you need to do the math and make sure that you purchase the right length so that you don’t overestimate the length needed. Parentheses if this sounds like a voice of experience, it is. I overestimated by a full 25% and there was no way to alter the wiring pattern sufficiently to stay within the recommended Requirements and place all of the product. No worries, I remeasured and ordered the right size and was quickly able to move on with the project.

Don't buy to much!! Buy less than you need if you aren't sure and always measure the floor area minus 4 inches from the wall all the way around... We had to buy a second roll because we were over like 20 get off material and I had it tucked in there like a pro... Had to rearrange the pattern several times to make it work and the worst part was paying the licensed tech to come out before during and after the install to check with the special meter to get the warranty signed off. They have to push power through it with a special meter before it goes down to make sure the roll is good from the factory... Then during the install once it's down in the schluter underlayment to make sure you didn't pinch it or break it, then after the tile went on it... Real pain in the ass if you want that warranty but it works really nice in the winter

Our tile installer recommended the Schluter system for our bath remodel, and we are very happy with it. Cable snaps in between the nubs on the Ditra mat underlayment - you put the wire wherever you want heat, avoiding cabinetry, fixtures, etc. Good documentation and long warranty, especially if you do the resistance tests before, during and after installation. Works great!

Very easy to install provided you buy the subflooring for it

Was able to get the best price from Amazon. Instructions for installation starting with the subfloor all the way to connecting with the controller were very clear and written well. Wire is very easy to snap into the studs, but having a tool or roller to help with this task is much easier on the hands (thumbs in particular). Hardest part was determining what layout, or wire maze works the best for getting the correct spacing and still covering all the floor area you would like to heat. REMEBER, YOU CAN'T CUT THIS WIRE! Has been working for 6 months now with no issues. Looking forward to this lasting a very long time, and having very comfortable feet during the winters.

My sense is this is a very well designed product, and a part of a really easy to use system. I understand the importance of the electrical pre-install checks and advise everyone to do them. It's doing the job I hoped it would, maintaining a nice even floor temperature using the Ditra-Heat thermostat. It's not inexpensive, but I think you get what you pay for in this case. Absolutely no complaints.

PROS: no issues with quality (worked upon initial installation)CONS: instruction recommends using resistance test to make sure it's all in tact. It needed a tester that i couldn't find (giga ohms).Recommend if you're dong this to just use a current measuring device (plugs into socket) and so some temp wiring on the heating wire....it was with 3 % of max watts on spec sheet. Check it a few times during installation and youre good to go
